Puducherry Police invites online applications from eligible candidates for direct recruitment of the post of Police Constables in Police Department, Government of Puducherry.
Police Constable- 253 Vacancies (Group C – Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial)
The selected candidates will be placed under probation for a period of 2 years from the date of joining, including the Basic Training for One Year.

Eligibility Criteria:
Qualification– Candidates must pass Intermediate/ 12th/ 10+2 or equivalent qualification from a recognised board or university.
Age– Candidates must have attained the age of 18 and not crossed the age of 24 years of age as on 27th of December 2022. However, the relaxation in upper age limit in respect of SC/ OBC/ MBC/ BCM/ EBC/ BT/ ST/ Ex-servicemen, Widows/ Divorced Women/ Women judicially separated from their husband and who are not re-married and Meritorious Sports Persons applicable as per rules.
Pay Scale: Level 3 in the Pay Matrix
Selection Procedure: Candidates will be selected on the basis of Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Written Examination and Medical Examination.
