IGCAR.GOV.IN Recruitment Advertisement IGCAR 02/2021- Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR), under Department of Atomic Energy, invites online applications from eligible candidates for recruitment of 337 Scientific Officer, Technical Officer, Stenographer, Upper Division Clerk, Work Assistant, Canteen Attendant, Security Guard, Driver, Stipendiary Trainee Category I, Stipendiary Trainee Category II vacancies. Candidates will be selected on the basis of preliminary test, advanced test and trade/ skill test.

Candidates selected for Stipendiary Trainees Category I, will have to undergo a training of two years duration with an stipend of Rs. 16000/- per month for first year and Rs. 18000/- per month for second year. On successful completion of training, the Stipendiary Trainee Category I shall be absorbed in the posts as Scientific Assistant/ C.

Candidates selected for Stipendiary Trainees Category II, will have to undergo a training of two years duration with an stipend of Rs. 10500/- per month for first year and Rs. 12500/- per month for second year. On successful completion of training, the Stipendiary Trainee Category II shall be absorbed in the posts as Technician “B”, and Technician “C”.
Total Duration of Training Period :
Category-I: Two Years, Category-II: Two Years
Upon successful completion of training, trainees will be considered for absorption in the below mentioned grade at the time of appointment depending on their performance during the period of training and interview to be held at the end of the training.

Stipendiary Trainee Category II: Minimum 18 years and Maximum 22 years
However, relaxation in upper age limit applicable as per government rules.
Educational Qualification:
Technician C- Candidates must have passed HSC (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) or SSC (Science and Maths) with minimum 60% marks in aggregate; and have ITI Certificate of minimum one year duration in respective trade. Candidates should have minimum four years of experience in the relevant trade after completion of the ITI course.
Stipendiary Trainee Category II- Candidates must have passed HSC (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) or SSC (Science and Maths) with minimum 60% marks in aggregate; and have ITI Certificate of minimum two year duration in respective trade; OR ITI in the relevant trade of one year duration plus one year relevant experience after completion of the course.
Stipendiary Trainee Category I- Candidates must possess Diploma in relevant discipline with minimum 60% marks. In case of Chemistry and Physics discipline candidates should possess Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline with minimum 60% marks.
Upper Division Clerk- Candidates must possess Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 50% marks. Candidates should have knowledge of computer data processing. Candidates should have minimum speed of 30 words per minute in typewriting in English.
Stenographer- Candidates must have passed Matriculation with minimum 50% marks. Candidates should have minimum speed of 30 words per minute in typewriting in English AND 80 words per minute in English Stenography. Candidates should have knowledge of computer data processing.
