The Office of the Director General of Prisons & Correctional Services, Himachal Pradesh, invites online applications from eligible candidates for recruitment of Warder Posts on contractual basis in Himachal Pradesh Prisons & Correctional Services Department.
Warder- 91 Vacancies, in Bilaspur, Chamba, Hamirpur, Kangra, Kinnaur, Kullu, Mandi, Shimla, Sirmour, Solan, Una, and Lahaul & Spiti
Candidates will be selected on the basis of Physical Efficiency Test, followed by Written Examination.
State of Himachal Pradesh has various Prisons;
Model Central Jails, One each at Nahan and Kanda (Shimla)
District Jails, One each at Dharamshala and Chamba
Open Air Jail, at Bilaspur [6 Extended Facility at Nahan, Shimla, Chamba, Dharamshala, Mandi and Solan]
Borstal Jail, at Mandi
Sub Jails, One each at Mandi, Kullu, Bilaspur, Solan, Kaithu (Shimla), Una, Nurpur and Hamirpur
Important Dates:
Starting Date for Submission of Online Application: 23 November 2023
Last Date for Submission of Online Application: 22 December 2023
Qualification: Candidates must have passed Intermediate/ 10+2 examination from a recognised board. Candidates must also have fulfill required physical standards.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and Maximum 23 years as on 01-January-2023. However, relaxation in upper age limit applicable as per government rules.
Processing Fee:
Rs. 50/- from SC/ ST/ OBC, and IRDP category candidates
Rs. 200/- form general category candidates
Candidates are suggested to pay the processing fee through online mode only.
