Directorate of Prisons and Correctional Services, Odisha has announced the notification for the recruitment/ appointment of Group-C, Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial Posts of Jail warder in various Circles of Jails under Home Department of Government of Odisha.

Berhampur- 102 Posts, Baripada- 65 Posts, Sambalpur- 82 Posts, Cuttack- 94 Posts, Koraput- 60 Posts
Pay Scale– The appointment will be as Initial Appointee carrying a consolidated remuneration of Rs.13,300/- per month for first year. The tenure of Initial Appointee shall be for the period of 6 Years from the date of his/ her joining.Thereafter, they will be eligible to get their salary in the Scale of Pay Rs.19900/- to 63200/-.

Qualification- Candidates must have passed 10+2 exam conducted by CHSE, Odisha or ICSE or CBSE or any other equivalent examination. Candidates must have Knowledge of Computer & IT Skills.
Passed M.E. School or higher examinations with Odia language as a subject, or passed H.S.C. or equivalent examinations with Odia as a medium of examination in non language subject, or passed the written test in Odia in M.E. School standard conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha.
Age Limit- Minimum 18 years and Maximum 25 years as on 01-January-2022. However, relaxation in upper age limit applicable as per government rules.
Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of Computer-Based Recruitment Examination (CBRE), Measurement of Physical Standards, and Physical Efficiency Test.
(Stage-I) Computer-Based Recruitment Examination (CBRE)- 100 Marks [General English, Odia Language, General Studies, Computer knowledge]
