EXAM PATTERN:-
- The Tamil Language Eligibility Test is a qualifying test, consisting of 30 questions for 50 marks. Syllabus for Tamil language eligibility examination is of 10th standard level. Candidates must get minimum 40% in order to qualify.
- Main Subject namely Tamil, English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, History and Geography (Objective type): 150 Marks (150 Multiple Choice Questions) of 3 Hours duration.

Educational Qualification:
Graduation and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known); OR Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.); OR Graduation with at least 45% marks and Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard; OR Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.); OR Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year B.A./B.Sc.Ed. or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed.; OR Graduation with at least 50% marks and B.Ed., (Special Education).
AND Candidates must have obtained a degree or its equivalent with such Subjects or Languages in respect of which recruitment is made.
AND Must Pass in Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TNTET) Paper- II with relevant optional subject.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and Maximum 53 years as on 01-July-2023.
Exam Fee: Online Mode
Rs. 300/- for SC/ SCA/ ST & PWD Candidates; Rs. 600/- for all other candidates.
