Goa Police Department, Director General of Police, Government of Goa, invites application from eligible candidates for direct recruitment of Police Sub-Inspector, Assistant Sub Inspector, Police Constable, Lower Division Clerk, Laboratory Technician, Stenographer, Photographer, Searcher Positions.
Candidates will be selected on the basis of Written Exam, Physical Efficiency Test, Practical Test.
Name of the Position, Number of Vacancies Advertised, Eligibility Criteria
Police Sub Inspector: 145 Vacancies
Candidates must possess bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or equivalent. OR Have passed higher secondary school certificate examination and possess three years diploma in security and investigation technology.
Police Constable: 857 Vacancies
Candidates must have passed secondary school certificate examination or equivalent qualification from a recognised board.
Police Constable: [Wireless Messenger- 29 Vacancies, Mast Luskar- 01 Vacancy]
Candidates must have passed secondary school certificate examination or equivalent qualification from a recognised board. Candidates should have diploma in electronics (for Wireless Messenger) from a recognised university.
Lower Division Clerk: 34 Vacancies
Candidates must have passed higher secondary school certificate examination and have knowledge of computer application/ operation with speed of 30 words per minute in english.
Laboratory Technician: 02 Vacancies
Candidates must possess bachelor’s degree in science from a recognised university or equivalent.
Photographer: 01 Vacancy
Candidates must have passed secondary school certificate examination or equivalent qualification from a recognised board. Candidates should have diploma in photography.
Searcher: 01 Vacancy
Candidates must possess bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or equivalent.
Assistant Sub Inspector (Wireless Operator): 06 Vacancies
Candidates must have passed secondary school certificate examination or equivalent qualification from a recognised board.
Police Constable (Bandman): 11 Vacancies
Candidates must have passed secondary school certificate examination or equivalent qualification from a recognised board.
Stenographer: 10 Vacancy
Candidates must have passed higher secondary school certificate examination and possess speed of 100 words per minute in short hand and 35 words per minute in typewriting.
Candidates must have fulfilled required educational qualification and physical standards in order to be eligible for said post(s).

Age Limit: As on 30-April-2021
Police Sub Inspector – Minimum age limit is 20 years and maximum age limit is 28 years.
Police Constable – Minimum age limit is 18 years and maximum age limit is 28 years.
Police Constable (Mast Luskar) – Minimum age limit is 18 years and maximum age limit is 22 years.
For All Other Posts: Maximum age limit is 45 years.
However, relaxation in upper age limit is applicable as per government rules.
Application and Examination Fee:
Rs.100/- for SC/ ST/ OBC/ Ex-serviceman/ PWD/ CFF candidates
Rs. 200/- for general category candidates
