Minimum Qualification Required:
Category -1 Group ‘C’ (NTPC only): Candidate must have passed 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate. 50% marks is not to be insisted upon in case of SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen & for the candidate of any category possessing higher Qualification.
Category – 2 Erstwhile Group ‘D’: Candidate must have passed Class-10th or ITI or equivalent or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT/SCVT.
Note: President’s Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger OR Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) holder in any section
Age Limit: Minimum age limit is 18 years and maximum is 28 years for Group C posts and 31 years for Group D posts as on January 01, 2018. However, relaxation in upper age limit for reserved category is applicable as per government rules.
Pay Scale:
Category -1 Group ‘C’ (NTPC only): Rs. 5200-20200/- with GP Rs.1900/-
Category – 2 Erstwhile Group ‘D’: Rs. 5200-20200/- with GP Rs.1800/-
Mode of Selection: The candidate will be selected based on the Written Test, Scouting Skill Assessment, and Certificates verification.

Eastern Railway invites applications from eligible candidates for recruitment of Cultural Quota Positions in Group ‘C’ category for the year 2017-18.
Group ‘C’ Posts, in the scale of pay Rs.5,200 – 20,200/- + Grade Pay of Rs 1,900/- in Pay Band-I [Level-2 in Pay Matrix of 7th CPC]
02 Posts, one each in Classical Dance (Bharat Natyam), and Instrumental Music- Guitar Disciplines.

Eligibility: Candidates must have passed 12th or its equivalent examination with not less that 50% marks (pass marks for SC/ ST) in the aggregate. Candidates must possess Degree/ Diploma Certificate in respective discipline only from Government recognised University/ Institute.
Candidates having experience in the field and performance given on All India Radio/ Doordarshan etc.; and/ or Awards/Prizes won at National Level will get preferred.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and Maximum 28 years as on 01-Jan-2018. However, relaxation in upper age limit applicable as per rules.
Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of written exam of 50 marks, and assessment of talent of 50 marks.
Exam Fee:

Rs. 500/- for All others
