Railway Recruitment Cell, South Central Railway, RRC Secundrabad, invites online applications from eligible candidates for recruitment against Scouts & Guides Quota for the year 2023-24.
Level 2 (Rs. 19,900-63,200) Group ‘C’ Posts: 02 Vacancies, Over South Central Railway
Level 1 (Rs. 18,000-56,900) Erstwhile Group ‘D’ Posts: 12 Vacancies, Two post for each Divisions namely Hyderabad, Secundrabad, Vijayawada, Guntur, Nanded, and Guntakal Divisions

Eligibility Criteria:
Level 2 (Rs. 19,900-63,200) Group ‘C’ Posts- Candidates must have passed Intermediate/ 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate from a recognized Board.
SC/ST/Ex-servicemen or candidates possess higher qualification i.e. Graduation/ Post Graduation etc from a Recognized University, will be exempted from minimum 50% marks criteria. OR
Candidates must have passed Matriculation/ 10th plus Act Apprenticeship/ ITI or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT/ SCVT for Technician Grade 3.
Level 1 (Rs. 18,000-56,900) Erstwhile Group ‘D’ Posts- Candidates must have passed Matriculation/ 10th or ITI or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT for other departments.
Scouts and Guides Qualifications:
A President Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger OR Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) holder in any Section.
Should have been an active member of a Scouts Organization for the last 5 years i.e. 2018-19 on-wards.
Should have attended two events at National Level OR All Indian Railways’ level AND Two events at State level.
Age Limit:
(Level-2)- Minimum 18 years and maximum 30 years as on 01/01/2024
(Level-1)- Minimum 18 years and maximum 33 years as on 01/01/2024
However, relaxation in upper age limit applicable as per government rules.
Examination Fee:
Rs. 250/- for candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ Ex-servicemen/ Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), Women, Minorities and Economic Backward Classes, which will be refunded to those who actually appear for the selection.
Rs. 500/- for All other candidates
Candidates are suggested to apply the examination fee ONLINE using internet banking or debit/credit cards (service charges apply for all banks which will be borne by the candidates).
Selection Process: candidates will be selected on the basis of Written Test of 60 marks, Marks on Certificates of 40 marks. Written test will be conducted in both Hindi and English medium. There will be separate written exams for Scouts & Guides Level-1 and Scouts & Guides Level-2.

Stages in Scouting/Guiding: Thinking Day; Progressive Training of Scouts/ Guides/ Rovers/ Rangers; Pioneering; Handicrafts; Indian Railway Jamborette; National Jamboree; Jamboree on the Air.
Organization at National Level; National Training Centres, WAGGGS/ WOSM – Uprashtrapati Award Competition; Prime Minister Shield Competition; Community Development Programmes; Aims and Methods of Scouting; How Scouting is useful in producing better citizens?
