The Central Building Research Institute (CBRI), Roorkee, invites applications from eligible candidates for recruitment of Junior Secretariat Assistant and Junior Stenographer regular Positions.
Junior Secretariat Assistant (General)- 06 Vacancies
Candidates must passed Intermediate/ 10+2 / XII standard or its equivalent examination from a recognised board or university. Candidates should have typewriting speed of 35 w.p.m. in English OR 30 w.p.m. in Hindi on Computer.
Junior Secretariat Assistant (Store & purchase)- 01 Vacancy
Candidates must passed Intermediate/ 10+2 / XII standard or its equivalent examination from a recognised board or university. Candidates should have typewriting speed of 35 w.p.m. in English OR 30 w.p.m. in Hindi on Computer.
Junior Secretariat Assistant (Finance & Accounts)- 01 Vacancy
Candidates must passed Intermediate/ 10+2 / XII standard or its equivalent examination with accountancy as one
of the subjects from a recognised board or university. Candidates should have typewriting speed of 35 w.p.m. in English OR 30 w.p.m. in Hindi on Computer.
Junior Stenographer (English)- 02 Vacancies
Candidates must passed Intermediate/ 10+2 / XII standard or its equivalent examination from a recognised board or university. Candidates should have speed of 80 w.p.m. in shorthand in English and Transcription in 50 mts. and 40 w.p.m. In type-writing in English on Computer.
Junior Stenographer (Hindi)- 01 Vacancy
Candidates must passed Intermediate/ 10+2 / XII standard or its equivalent examination from a recognised board or university. Candidates should have speed of 80 w.p.m. in shorthand in Hindi and Transcription in 50 mts. and 35 w.p.m. In type-writing in Hindi on Computer.
NOTE– Candidates possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts / Science / Commerce with proven working knowledge of computers preferably MS Office, MS Word, MS Excel, Power Point etc. will be preferred for Junior Secretariat Assistant and Junior Stenographer Posts.
Pay Scale: Pay Matrix Level- 2 for Junior Secretariat Assistant Posts, Pay Matrix Level- 4 for Junior Stenographer Posts
Upper Age Limit: 28 years for Junior Secretariat Assistant Posts, and 27 years for Junior Stenographer Posts as on the closing date for submission of applications.

Selection process:
Junior Secretariat Assistant- Candidates will be selected on the basis of the written test and type writing test on Computer. Those candidates who secure the minimum prescribed speed in type test on computer will only be called for written test. The written exam consists of the papers (Paper-1 and Paper-2). The first paper i.e. mental ability test consists of 100 questions with maximum marks of 200 marks. The second test consists of i) General Awareness and ii) English language with 50 question each. Each test will Carry maximum of 150 marks (3 marks for every correct answer and one negative mark for every wrong answer).
Final merit list will be drawn based on the performance of candidates in written test and only those candidates who qualify in the typing test.
Junior Stenographer- Candidates will be selected on the basis of Open Competitive/written examination. The final merit list will be prepared based on minimum qualifying marks in shorthand test (Shorthand and Transcription) and qualifying typing test in computer.
Application Fee: Rs. 100/- Applicants has to remit application fee through online mode. SC/ST/PH/Women/CSIR Employees are exempted from submission of application fee.
