Director General Border Security Force invites applications from interested and eligible male/ female candidates belonging to state of Jammu and Kashmir for recruitment of 1206 Constable (GD) Posts in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and AR in the State of Jammu and Kashmir.

Constable (GD) – 1206 Vacancies (903 vacancies for Male candidates, and 303 vacancies for Female candidates)
Recruitment/ Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of physical standard test, physical efficiency test, followed by written examination. Candidates who have been issued admit cards will report at the PST & PET on centre the given date and time. Physical efficiency test will be only qualifying in nature. The candidates who qualify on the PST & PET will be required to appear in a written test.
The written test will consist of objective type multiple choice questions The question paper will consist of 100 questions of 1oo marks to be attempted in 2 hours.
Educational Qualification Criteria: Candidates must have completed matriculation or 10th examination from a recognized Board/ University.
Candidates must have met required physical standards in terms of height, chest, weight, eye-sight.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years, and Maximum 23 years as on 01-August-2016. SC/ ST/ OBC category candidates will be eligible to get the relaxation in upper age limit as per rules.
Pay Scale: Selected candidates will be eligible to get the pay scale of Rs.5200-20200/- (Pay Band- 1) + Grade Pay Rs.2000/- plus allowances
How to Apply: Candidates who fulfill the physical and medical standards should personally appear at the PST/ PER centres designated in respect of their districts; for registration of application; WITH duly filled Application form in prescribed format along with required attested documents/ certificates as per suggested in official advertisement.
Admit card with roll number number and general instructions for appearing to the selection process will be issued personally to the eligible candidate on submission and registration of application form at the PST/ PET Centres.
