Educational Qualification Criteria: Candidates should have completed Matriculation or 10th class from a recognized board/ institution.

Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and Maximum 23 years as on 01-January-2024. Candidates should not have been born earlier than 02-01-2001 and later than 01-01-2006. However, relaxation in upper age limit applicable as per government orders.

Pay Scale: Pay Level-3 (Rs. 21,700-69,100)

Application Fee: Rs. 100/-
Candidates are suggested to pay the fee through SBI Challan/ SBI Net Banking or by using Visa, Mastercard or Maestro Credit or Debit card. SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/Women candidates are exempted from payment of fee.

Subject Of Written Examination:

Note: All questions will be of Objective Multiple Choice Types. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

Computer Based Examination (CBE) will be conducted by the Commission in English, Hindi and in 13 Regional Languages viz. (i) Assamese, (ii) Bengali, (iii) Gujarati, (iv) Kannada, (v) Konkani, (vi) Malayalam, (vii) Manipuri, (viii) Marathi, (ix) Odia, (x) Punjabi, (xi) Tamil, (xii) Telugu and (xiii) Urdu.

Date of PST/PET: Physical Standard Test (PST)/ Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Detailed Medical Examination (DME)/ Review Medical Examination (RME) will be scheduled and conducted by the CAPFs.

The syllabus for the Examination

A. General Intelligence & Reasoning: Analytical aptitude and ability to observe and distinguish patterns will be tested through questions principally of non-verbal type. This component may include questions on analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non- verbal series, coding and decoding, etc.

B. General Knowledge and General Awareness: Questions in this component will be aimed at testing the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of every day observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity, Indian Constitution, and scientific Research etc. These Questions will be such that they do not require a special study of any discipline.

C. Elementary Mathematics: This paper will include questions on problems relating to Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions and relationship between Numbers, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work, etc.

D. English/ Hindi: Candidates ability to understand basic English/ Hindi and his basic comprehension would be tested.

Selection Process:  Selection Process will be based on Written Test, Physical Standards Test (PST)/Physical Endurance Test (PET), and Medical Test.

Pay Scale: Pay Level–1(Rs.18,000 to 56,900) for the post of Sepoy in NCB and Pay Level-3 (Rs. 21,700-69,100) for all others posts.

Application Fee: Rs. 100/-
Candidates are suggested to pay the fee through SBI Challan/ SBI Net Banking or by using Visa, Mastercard or Maestro Credit or Debit card. SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/Women candidates are exempted from payment of fee.

Online fee can be paid by the candidates up to 01-12-2022 (23:00 hours). However, candidates who wish to make the cash payment through Challan of SBI, may make the payment in cash at the Branches of SBI within the working hours of the bank up to 01-12-2022 provided the Challan has been generated by them before 30-11-2022 (23:00 hours).
