TNPSC Recruitment Notification No. 1/ 2018: Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) invites applications from eligible candidates for recruitment of Assistant Commissioner of Labour (Formerly named as Labour Officer), Tamil Nadu Labour Service.
Assistant Commissioner of Labour (Formerly named as Labour Officer): 10 Vacancies, in Pay Matrix level- 22 Rs. 56100-177500/-
Candidates must possess Degree of M.A., Labour Management (formerly known as MLM) awarded by the Tamil Nadu Institute of Labour Studies, Chennai; OR
Candidates must possess any Degree, AND Degree or Diploma in Social Work or Social Science or Labour Relations or Social Welfare, or A Diploma in Labour Laws awarded by the Indian Law Institute, New Delhi or A Diploma in Labour Laws and Administrative Laws or A Degree in Law or Post Graduate Diploma in Labour Administration awarded by the Tamil Nadu Institute of Labour Studies or A Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management, Industrial Relations and Labour Welfare awarded by the Madras Productivity Council or Coimbatore Productivity Council or Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations awarded by the Madurai Institute of Social Work, Madurai or M.A. Degree in Work Education awarded by the University of Madras.
Applicants should possess adequate knowledge in Tamil.

Age Limit: Candidates should not have completed 30 Years as on 01.07.2018. No maximum age limit for applicants who belong to SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BC(OBCM)s and BCMs.
Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of written exam of 500 marks to be held at Chennai/ Coimbatore/ Madurai/ Salem/ Tiruchirappalli/ Tirunelveli, and Interview and Records of 70 marks.
Final selection will be made on the basis of the total marks obtained by the Applicants at the Written Examination and Oral Test taken together.
Registration Fee: Rs. 150/-
Applicants who have already registered in One Time Registration system paying Rs. 50/- before 01-March-2017 and those who have registered for One-Time Registration on or after 01-March-2017 by paying Rs. 150/- within the validity period of 5 years are exempted from paying the registration fee for this recruitment.
Examination Fee: Rs.200/- The Examination fee should be paid at the time of submitting the online application for this recruitment. Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Caste (Arunthathiyars), Scheduled Tribes, Differently Abled Persons, and Destitute Widow of all communities are exempted from payment of examination fee.
