Educational Qualification:
Master’s Degree in Statistics.

Master’s degree in Economics / Operations Research / Computer Applications / Computer Science / Mathematics / Mathematical Economics / Econometrics and Statistics as ancillary / allied subject, with basic level concepts of Statistics.
Age Limit: As on July 01, 2013
The minimum age should be above 18 years and the upper limit should not exceed 30 years for the post of Assistant Director of statistics. The Age relaxations are provided to the candidates that belong to SC/ST – that is no Age limit and other caste the age limit is restricted to 30 years maximum.
Pay Scale: The pay scale that is offered to the candidates for this post is Rs.15600-39100+ Grade pay of Rs.5400.
Application Fee & How to:
Rs.175 needs to be paid that include Rs.50 for application fee + Rs.125 for examination fee and candidates calming exemption for examination fee have to pay Rs.50 towards application fee.
The candidates can avail the facility of one time registration on payment of Rs.50 towards registration fee and once they receive a registration ID that they need not have to pay any application cost till 5 years.

How to Apply:
The candidate has to refer to the www.tnpsc.govin to fill the application form. After which they need to scan the photograph and signature as detailed under the guidelines for scanning it.
Filling up of the application form carefully is important as the candidate have to save down their reg number and password. This would be important while moving to perform the written exam because this is one type of ID card.
Offline payment:
- The candidates have to select an Indian Bank or Post office.
- Then click on the “submit” on application form which will provide you with an application no. and password.
- After which they will provide you with a payment challan from the branch that include Branch name, transaction number, DP code and deposit date through branch authority. This need to be gets submitted to any branch of Indian bank.
