Power Grid Corporation Limited is one of the largest power transmission utilities of the world. It works under Ministry of power as Central Transmission Utility of India.

PGCIL has invited applications for the post of Field Engineer and Field Supervisor.
Nature of The Post:
All appointments shall be made on contractual basis and for temporary period. It could extend up to 2 years or till completion of the project.
Total Number of Vacancies:
Vacancies offered for each post are as under:
- Field Engineer – 8 (6 UR, 1 SC, 1 OBC)
- Field Supervisor – 16 (10 UR, 3 SC, 3 OBC)

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates applying for Field Engineer must possess B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Sc. (Engg.)/ AMIE in Electronics and Communication with minimum 55% marks from recognised university.
Those applying for Field Supervisor must have diploma in Electronics and Communication with minimum 55% marks from recognised institute.
Applicants must also have 1 year post qualification experience in relevant fields.
Age Limit: As on January 15, 2013
Upper age limit required for both posts should not exceed 29 years in case of General category, 32 years for OBC category and 34 years for SC category.
Pay Scale:
Appointed candidates shall be paid a fixed monthly remuneration. Field Engineer would get Rs. 30000 during 1st year and Rs. 33000 during 2nd year while Field Supervisor would get Rs. 23000 during 1st year and Rs. 25500 during 2nd year.

Application is to be paid in form of demand draft in favour of “POWERGRID CORPORATION OF INDIA LTD.” payable at Jammu. Fee for Field Engineer is Rs. 200 and for Field Supervisor is Rs. 100. Reserved categories are exempted from application fee.
Selection Process:
Selection of suitable candidates shall be done through personal interview. If required, a screening test shall also be held for the same. Candidate must be of sound physical and visual health.
