Media Lab Asia is a not-for-profit company setup by Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DEITY), Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Govt. of India. Media Lab Asia (MLAsia) is formed to bring the benefits of the information and communication technologies to the general mass. Most of its operations are being channelized through collaborations with other organizations and experts (such as Government, NGO, Academic Institutions, Individuals and Industries) for Development & Deployment of ICT tools. Media Lab Asia is working presently in the areas of ICT for Empowerment of the Differently Able Persons, Healthcare, Livelihood Enhancement and Education.
With the recent announcement, the Media Lab Asia is inviting result oriented, energetic and committed Engineering and Management Graduates or Post Graduates with excellent academic record to join Media Lab Asia as Technical/ Management Trainees. These Trainees are expected to work with the project areas of ICT and help in development and deployment of various ICT tools at the research arenas along with development of Information Technology Research Academy (ITRA).

- 1. Technical Trainee:

Number of Trainees Required: 4-6 numbers
Academic Requirements: The applicant must have completed BE / B.Tech. in CS/IT/ECE or MCA or M.Sc. (CS/IT) or equivalent qualification in 1st Class/ 60% marks or equivalent CGPA. The candidate must have completed this qualification during 2011 or 2012 academic year.
Skill Requirement: The applicant must have the following skills
- Knowledge of Mobile Technology over Android, Windows and Asterisk platforms
- Knowledge of PHP, MySQL, Web Development
- Knowledge of Dot NET/Ruby On Rails (ROR)
- Knowledge of JAVA, J2EE, J2ME programming
- Knowledge of Web Designing, Animation and Multimedia
- Knowledge of Eclipse/ NetBeans/ JBuilder, MySQL/ PostgreSQL/ HSQLDB
Age Norms: The applicant must be within max age of 28 years as on 30-April-2013
Stipendiary Provisions: The selected candidates will be eligible to receive a fixed monthly stipend in a range of Rs.18000 – Rs.30000 (consolidated)

Academic Requirements: The applicant must have completed a bachelors Degree in any discipline with 1st Class. Additionally he/ she must possess a MBA in Marketing/ Information Technology/ Systems/ Rural Management/ Supply Chain Management or equivalent with minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA. The candidate must have completed this qualification during 2011 or 2012 academic year.
Skill Requirement: The applicant must have the following skill sets:
- Presentation and demonstration skills
- Excellent Verbal and written communication skills
- Marketing & Coordination ability
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Proficiency in use of computers
- English proficiency
- Should have basic knowledge of Sales & Marketing of products
- Knowledge of office automation tools like Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.
- Should possess initiative to learn things and implement the same
