The ITBP (Indo-Tibetan Border Police) is one of the CAPF (Central Armed Police Forces) established in 1962 for the security of 2115 km long Indian-Tibetan border.
Name of Post:
The organizations invite both male and female Indians for the post of Assistant Sub-Inspector (Stenographer), Head Constable (Education and Stress Counsellor) and Head Constable /Combatant Ministerial-Direct entry or LED.
Nature of the Post:
The candidates will be hired for temporary period which can be made permanent later on as per ITBPF.

Total number of vacancies for all the posts is 516.

Eligibility Criteria:
Eligibilities for the candidates are as according to the post.
- Assistant Sub- Inspector (Stenographer)-
Educational qualification:-10+2 passed or equivalent from a recognized organization.
Other Qualifications:-Proficiency in computers along with Dictation for 10 min@80 words per minutes and Transcriptions of 50 min (English) or 65 min (Hindi) on computer.
- Head Constable (ESC)-
Educational qualification:-Bachelor of Education/Teaching or degree holder with subject Psychology or equivalent from a recognized organization.
- Head Constable/CM (Direct Entry) and Head Constable/CM (LDE)-
Educational qualification: – 10+2 passed or equivalent from a recognized organization.
Other Qualifications:-Proficiency in computers along with typing speed of 30 words/minute in Hindi and 35 words/minute in English on computer.
Age Limit:
Age limit for Assistant Sub- Inspector (Stenographer), Head Constable/CM (Direct Entry), Head Constable/CM (LDE) is 18 to 25 years while age limit for Head Constable (ESC) is 20 to 25 years.
Pay Scale:
Pay scale for the post Assistant Sub-Inspector (Stenographer) is Rs. 5200–20200 along with Grade Pay of Rs.2, 800/- per month and for the post of Head Constable (ECS/Direct Entry/LDE) the pay scale ranges from Rs. 5200–20200 along with Grade Pay of Rs.2, 400/- per month.
Application Fee & How to:
The application fee for General and OBC candidates is Rs 50/-.
FEE is exemption for SC/ST/female/Ex-service men candidates.
Candidates can pay the application fee by IPO /Central Recruitment Fee Stamp (CRFS)/Bank Draft in favour of “DEPUTY INSPECTOR GENERAL (DELHI), I.T.B. POLICE, PAYABLE AT S.B.I., R.K. PURAM, NEW DELHI, CODE NO-1076”.
Selection Process:
The selection procedure involves many stages of recruitment as Height Bar, Race, Checking of documents, Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), written examination (Objective type), Skill test, interviews, medical examination etc as necessary for the particular post. On the basis of this a merit list will be generated as per performance and candidates will be hired.
Mode of Application:
