HSTSB (Haryana School Teachers Selection Board) was constituted by Haryana Government on 18 February 2012.The main purpose of the board is to conduct examination and interviews for selection of teachers, educational supervisor, for the Government schools. The work of HSTSB includes preparing guidelines for recruitments, conducting interviews/examinations, making recommendations to directors and other heads, to select, invite and appoint examiners as well as examiner agencies and administering the funds at the disposal of the board.
Name of Post:
The organization invites the candidates for the posts of Primary teachers (PRT) for the Mewat Districts and other districts of Haryana.
Total Number of Vacancies:
The number of vacancies is 8763 for the other districts of Haryana except Mewat that includes 346 posts for backlog of PH (B/L) category and 1107 posts in Mewat Districts that includes 44 posts for backlog of PH (B/L) category.33% posts are also reserved for the Haryana Women.
Important Dates:
Last date of online submission of the application form is December 08, 2012(upto 5 p.m.) while for depositing the application fee last date is December 12, 2012(upto 4:00 p.m.).
Experience certificate of 4 years teaching should be as on the date January 1, 2013.
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates should posses following qualifications for the post.
- Graduate/10+2 passed or equivalent along with Degree/Diploma holder in Elementary Education (2 years).
- Certificate holder of STET (School Teachers Eligibility Test), HTET (Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test) or Experience holder as Primary teacher for four years.
- 10+2 passed /Matric passed/B.A. /M.A. with Hindi or Sanskrit.
Age Limit:
The candidate’s age must fall between 18-40 years. Age relaxation will be given to the working primary teachers according to their period of working with maximum age relaxation upto 5 years. For details of age relaxations refer to the notification.
Pay Scale:
The pay scale ranges from Rs.9300-34800 (PB-2) along with the grade pay of Rs. 4200/-.
Application Fee & How to:
The application fee is Rs. 300/- for general candidates while Rs. 75/- for BC/SC candidates.PHC and ESM candidates are exempted from the fee.
Candidates are required to pay the fee in any branch of SBI after 48 hours of registration of application with CDAC Mohali.
Selection Process:
Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of written examination or academic percentage cut off. Shortlisted candidates will be further called for the interview. On the basis of performance in the interview candidates will be hired.
Mode of Application:
Mode of application is online. Candidates have to fill the application forms online only.
