Indian Coast Guard, Ministry of Defence invites application from eligible unmarried candidates for recruitment of Navik (General Duty) and Navik (Domestic Branch) in the Indian Coast Guard, an Armed Force of the Union.
The basic training for Navik (General Duty), Navik (Domestic Branch) will commence tentatively in Early/ Mid Sep 2023 at at INS Chilka followed by sea training and professional training in the allotted trade.

Educational Qualification:
Navik (General Duty)- Candidate should possess minimum qualification of 10+2 with 50% marks in aggregate and minimum 50% marks in Maths and Physics from an education board recognised by Central/ State Government.
Navik (Domestic Branch)- Candidate should possess minimum qualification of 10th Class from an education board recognized by Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).
Age Limit: Not less than 18 years and not more than 22 years of age.
Navik (General Duty/ Domestic Branch)- Candidates should be born between 01 Sep 2001 to 31 Aug 2005 (both dates inclusive). Upper age relaxation of 5 years will be offered to SC/ ST while 3 years to OBC (non-creamy) candidates.
Pay Scale: Recruited candidates on joining Indian Coast Guard, will be placed in Basic pay Rs. 21700/- (Pay Level-3) plus Dearness Allowance and other allowances. Promotion prospects exist up to the rank of Pradhan Adhikari with pay scale Rs. 47600/- (Pay Level 8) with Dearness Allowance.

Yantrik (Electronics): Section I Exam: Maths, Science, English, Reasoning and GK of 60 Marks + Section IV Exam: Electronics Engineering of 50 Marks

Stage-II [Mid/End May 2023]
Those who qualify written tests (Computer Based Online Examination) will undergo Physical Fitness Test [1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes, 20 Squat ups (UthakBaithak), 10 Pushup], and Initial Medical Examination (Preliminary).
Stage-III [Early/Mid Sep 2023]
Based on the performance in Stage-I & Stage-II, an all India merit list will be prepared and e-admit card for stage-III (final medicals at INS Chilka) will be issued. The duration of Stage-III is 1 to 2 days.
Stage-IV
The candidates who clear stage III candidates will be provisionally shortlisted for training at INS Chilka. After that all recruited candidates will be put to basic training at INS Chilka; followed by sea training and professional training in the allotted trade. Branch/trade will be allocated as per the requirement of service and performance during basic training.
