Rajasthan Forensic Science Laboratory Recruitment 2013 for Jr. Scientific Asst. and Lab Asst.
In coordination with the state Police Department of Rajasthan, the State Forensic Science Laboratories in the state of Rajasthan is working for resolving crime-scene investigation and other forensic testing and evaluation. The Rajasthan State Forensic Science Laboratory is recruiting efficient and enthusiastic candidates who would help in conducting forensic investigations for supporting the crime investigation.
With the recent announcement, the State Forensic Science Laboratory of Rajasthan is inviting applications from competent professionals, who would be joining as Junior Scientific Assistant, Laboratory Assistant and Junior Laboratory Assistant on contract basis.

Nature of Service: State Forensic Science Subordinate Service. The posts are temporary post and are likely to be made permanent.
Pay Scale:
- Junior Scientific Assistant: Running Pay Band-II – Rs.9300- Rs.34800 + GP Rs.3200
- Laboratory Assistant: Running Pay Band-I – Rs.5200- Rs.20200 + GP Rs.2400
- Junior Laboratory Assistant: Running Pay Band-I – Rs.5200- Rs.20200 + GP Rs.1900

Education Qualification:
- Junior Scientific Assistant (Document Division): The candidates must have completed BSc with Chemistry & Physics as compulsory subjects
- Junior Scientific Assistant (Chemistry Division): The candidates must have completed BSc with Chemistry as compulsory subjects
- Junior Scientific Assistant (Ballistics Division): The candidates must have completed BSc with Chemistry, Mathematics & Physics as compulsory subjects
- Junior Scientific Assistant (Physics Division): The candidates must have completed BSc with Physical Chemistry & Physics as compulsory subjects
- Junior Scientific Assistant (Biology Division): The candidates must have completed BSc with Organic Chemistry, Botany, Zoology & Microbiology
- Junior Scientific Assistant (Serology Division): The candidates must have completed BSc with Organic Chemistry, Botany, Zoology & Microbiology
- Junior Scientific Assistant (Toxicology Division): The candidates must have completed BSc with Chemistry as compulsory subjects
- Junior Scientific Assistant (Photo Division): The candidates must have completed Senior Secondary (Science) with 5 years experience in Photography. Preference will be given to candidates having Diploma in Photography
- Laboratory Assistant (Photo Division): The candidates must have completed Senior Secondary (Science) with 2 years experience in Photography. Preference will be given to candidates having Diploma in Photography
- Laboratory Assistant (Other than Photo Division): The candidates must have completed Senior Secondary (Science) or equivalent
- Junior Laboratory Assistant: The candidates must have completed Senior Secondary (Science) or equivalent
Age Specification:
A candidate must not have crossed 35 years and must be above 18 years as on 01-Jan-2014 to be eligible for this consideration. However, further relaxation in age is applicable for other category candidates (SC/ST/PWD/Ex-SM) with non-cumulative norms.
Application fees:
- For UR and OBC (Creamy layer) category and other state candidates: Rs.250
- For OBC-NCL/ Spl. BC from the state of Rajasthan: Rs.150
- For PWD (all state) and SC/ST/TSP-SC/TSP-ST from Rajasthan state: Rs.50
The fees can be remitted in shape of cash at any Citizen Service Centers(CSCs) or E-Mitra Kiosks. The applicants have to remit additional fees for using the services at CSC/e-Mitra kiosks
Mode of Selection:
- The selection of candidates will be done by accessing their credentials (academic marks) and through personal interview in a merit basis selection.
- The Academic marks will be calculated from a max. mark of 100 and interview will carry a max. mark of 10.
- The final selection on the merit basis will be done from these 110 marks.
