Central Power Research Institute or CPRI is an autonomous institute of national importance (under the Ministry of Power, Govt. of India) which promotes applied research in power system technology development in various laboratories throughout the country. In order to fill up certain posts in the CPRI, there has been an advertisement for dynamic and motivated persons.

Central Power Research Institute (CPRI) invites online applications from eligible candidates for direct recruitment of Engineering Officer Grade 1, Engineering Assistant, Scientific Assistant, Technician Grade 1 and Assistant Grade 2 Positions.
Selected candidates will be on probation for a period of two years. All the posts carry service benefits of NPS contribution/ Leave/ LTC /Medical benefits and allowances as per Government of India norms.

Technician Grade 1: 24 Vacancies [FRESHERS], Pay Matrix Level-2 Rs. 19900-63200/-
Candidates must possess two years ITI certificate in Electrician Trade. Candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in MCQ test, subject to qualifying in Trade test.
Assistant Grade 2: 18 Vacancies, Pay Matrix Level-4 Rs. 25500-81100/-
Candidates must possess Bachelor’s Degree with First class in Arts/ Science/ Commerce/ Business Administration/ Business Management/ Computer from a recognised university. Candidates must have minimum Grade-B certificate in Basic Computer Course (BCC) conducted by National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT). Candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in MCQ test and skill test.
Engineering Assistant: 13 Vacancies, Pay Matrix Level-6 Rs. 35400-112400/-
Candidates must possess three years Diploma in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical engineering with first class. Candidates should have 5 years post qualification experience. Candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in MCQ test and academic merit.
Scientific Assistant: 04 Vacancies, Pay Matrix Level-6 Rs. 35400-112400/-
Candidates must possess first class Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from a recognized University with 5 years of experience in the relevant subject field.
Engineering Officer Grade 1: 40 Vacancies [FRESHERS], Pay Matrix Level-7 Rs. 44900-142400/-
Candidates must possess bachelor’s degree B.E./ B.Tech in Electrical Engineering/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering/ Electronics & Communication Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Civil Engineering with an aggregate minimum of 65% or equivalent CGPA. Candidates must have Valid GATE Score of the year 2021 or 2022 or 2023.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and Maximum 28 years for Technician; 35 years for Engineering Assistant/ Scientific Assistant; and 30 years for All other Posts as on last date for submission of online application. However, relaxation in upper age limit applicable as per rules.

Rs.500/- for Technician Grade 1, Assistant Grade II Positions.
Rs. 1000/- for Engineering Officer Grade 1, Scientific Assistant, Engineering Assistant Positions.
SC/ ST/ PwBD/ Ex-servicemen/women candidates and CPRI Departmental candidates are exempted from payment of fees.
