Sikkim Public Service Commission (SPSC) invites applications from eligible candidates for recruitment of General Duty Medical Officer (Junior Grade) in Pay Band-2 of Rs. 9300-34800/- plus Grade Pay of Rs. 5000/-, under Health Care, Human Service & Family Welfare Department, Government of Sikkim. Candidates will be selected on the basis of written examination and interview.

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must possess Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from a recognized University. Candidates should have completed Rotatory Internship of one year from a recognized Institute and Registered with Medical Council of India or Medical Council of State.
Candidate must be in possession of either Sikkim Subject Certificate or Identification Certificate issued by the competent authority under relevant orders of the State Government. Candidate should be conversant with the local customs/ traditions and knowledge of Sikkim. Candidates should have knowledge of any of the State Languages viz-Nepali, Bhutia, Lepcha. Candidates should have valid Local Employment Card issued by the appropriate authority of the Government of Sikkim.
Candidates should have attained the age of 21 years, but should not have attained the age of 40 years as on 15-February-2018. Relaxation in upper age limit as per rules.
