Kolkata Police, Government of West Bengal, invites applications from eligible candidates for recruitment of 700 Civic Volunteers on contract basis, in Traffic Department, Kolkata Police.

Candidates will be selected on the basis of interview by a selection committee.
Volunteer will have to undergo a 2 weeks training course Organized by Deputy Commissioner of Police, Home Guard Organization, Kolkata. Selected Civic Volunteer will be inducted and deployed in various Traffic Guards by O/C, Traffic Training School, Kolkata.
Candidates must have passed Class-VIII standard. Candidates should be physically and mentally fit.
Candidates should have Minimum age of 20 years and maximum age of 60 years as on 1st January, 2018.
Candidates who have done well in sports and have experience as NCC Cadet / Boy Scouts / NSS Guide / Civil Defence Volunteers etc. will be preferred.
Candidates, being a resident of the area under Traffic Guard where they will be deployed; will be preferred.
Remuneration: Volunteer will be paid honorarium at a rate prescribed by the Government on furnishing working statement certified by the O.C. of the Traffic Guards/ unit-in-charge.

How to Apply: Interested candidates are suggested to submit duly completed application form in prescribed format along with self attested photocopies of documens/ certificates/ testimonials as per suggested in official advertisement; personally (not by post or any other means) in the DROP BOX kept in the Traffic Training School, Kolkata. The envelope containing the application should be superscribed as “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF CIVIC VOLUNTEER”.
