MPPGCL Recruitment 2014 For 717 Executive, JE, and PA (ITI) Trainees

Madhya Pradesh Power Generation Company Limited (MPPGCL) is a wholly owned unit of the Government of Madhya Pradesh and is engaged in power production and distribution through its wide network in the state and out of the boundaries of the state. The company is also responsible for commissioning of new power generating units in the state and is smoothening the system of power distribution as a competent successor of the Madhya Pradesh State Electricity Board (MPSEB). The MPPGCL is having its Thermal and Hydel power stations located at various places in the State of M. P.

With its recent initiative the MPPGCL is inviting competent applications for engagement of Executive Trainee (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Finance & Accounts), Junior Engineer (Trainee), Plant Assistant (ITI) Trainee, & Fireman of various disciplines indicated below, for Operation & Maintenance (including panel operations), construction and other support functions, for the existing and upcoming Thermal and Hydel Power Stations of the company. These posts are permanent in nature and will be effective after completion of the training in the company.

  • Executive Trainee (Mechanical): 64 posts (UR-42, SC-05, ST-07, OBC-10)
  • Executive Trainee (Electrical): 23 posts (UR-12, SC-03, ST-04, OBC-04)
  • Executive Trainee (Electronics): 23 posts (UR-13, SC-03, ST-04, OBC-03)
  • Executive Trainee (Fin & Acc): 14 posts (UR-02, SC-05, ST-07)
  • Junior Engineer Trainee (Mechanical): 27 posts (UR-16, SC-04, ST-05, OBC-02)
  • Junior Engineer Trainee (Electrical): 11 posts (UR-05, SC-03, ST-02, OBC-01)
  • Junior Engineer Trainee (Electronics): 07 posts (UR-04, SC-01, ST-01, OBC-01)
  • Plant Assistant (ITI) Trainee (Mechanical): 332 posts (UR-173, SC-55, ST-61, OBC-43)
  • Plant Assistant (ITI) Trainee (Electrical): 204 posts (UR-101, SC-34, ST-41, OBC-28)
  • Fireman: 12 Posts (UR-04, SC-02, ST-06)

NOTE:

  • These vacancies are inclusive of 67 Posts of Executive Trainee (Backlog), 15 Posts of Junior Engineer Trainee (Backlog), 148 Posts of PA(ITI) Trainee (Backlog) and 07 Posts of Fireman (backlog)
  • The reservation of posts meant for SC/ ST/ OBC (non creamy layer only)/ PD candidates shall be applicable only for the candidates having Madhya Pradesh domicile. The reservation for PD candidates will be available on horizontal basis

Educational Competency:

  • Executive Trainee: The applicants must have completed Full time Bachelors Degree in Engineering (BE/ BTech) in concerned branches as vacancies indicate with at least 65% of Marks.
  • Executive Trainee (Finance & Accounts): The candidate should possess CA from ICAI or ICWA from ICWAI.
  • Junior Engineer Trainee: The applicants must have completed Full time Diploma in Engineering in concerned branches as vacancies indicate with at least 65% of Marks.
  • Plant Assistant (ITI) Trainee: The applicants must have completed High School Certificate along with Full time ITI Trade Certificate in Machinist/ Fitter/ Welder/ HP Welder / Mechanic Pump/ Mechanic Vehicle / Electrician/ Wireman/ Motor Mechanic/ Diesel Mechanic / Electronics/ Instrumentation trades with at least 60% marks in ITI.
  • Fireman: The applicants must have completed basic course on elementary Fire Fighting of not less than six months from a recognized institute.

Age Requirement:

  • Executive Trainee (Mechanical / Electrical/ Electronics): The applicant must have attained minimum 20 Years and should not have exceeded 27 Years as on 01-June-2014.
  • Executive Trainee (Finance & Accounts): The applicant must have attained minimum 20 Years and should not have exceeded 32 Years as on 01-June-2014.
  • Junior Engineer Trainee (Mechanical / Electrical/ Electronics): The applicant must have attained minimum 18 Years and should not have exceeded 27 Years as on 01-June-2014.
  • Plant Assistant (ITI) Trainee: The applicant must have attained minimum 18 Years and should not have exceeded 27 Years as on 01-June-2014.
  • Fireman: The applicant must have attained minimum 18 Years and should not have exceeded 27 Years as on 01-June-2014.
  • However, relaxation will be applicable for domiciles of Madhya Pradesh who belong to SC/ST/OBC and PWD category.

Training Period/ Stipend:

The candidates selected should be liable for an Induction Training for a period as specified below from the date of joining in MPPGCL. The stipend they will receive during training period is indicated below:

  • Executive Trainee (Mechanical / Electrical/ Electronics): Training duration 1 year with a stipend of Rs.15600 per month.
  • Executive Trainee (Finance & Accounts): Training duration 3 months with a stipend of Rs.15600 per month.
  • Junior Engineer Trainee: Training duration 1 year with a stipend of Rs.9300 per month.
  • Plant Assistant (ITI) Trainee: Training duration 9 months with a stipend of Rs.5200 per month.
  • Fireman: There is no training for Fireman.

Permanent Induction:

After successful completion of Training period the candidates will be posted in the Permanent grade with the company in the scale as mentioned below:

  • Executive Trainee: PB-III with Rs.15600-Rs.39100 and a Grade Pay of Rs.5400 per month.
  • Junior Engineer Trainee: PB-II with Rs.9300-Rs.34800 and a Grade Pay of Rs.4100 per month.
  • Plant Assistant (ITI) Trainee & Fireman: PB-I with Rs.5200-Rs.20200 and a Grade Pay of Rs.2500 per month.

Service Agreement Bond:

  • The Executive Trainees shall have to execute a Service Agreement cum Surety Bond to successfully complete the prescribed training and thereafter to serve the Company for at least 5 years failing which a sum of Rs.200000 (Rupees Two Lakhs only) towards the cost of training and other overhead expenses to the MPPGCL
  • The Junior Engineer Trainees shall have to execute a Service Agreement cum Surety Bond to successfully complete the prescribed training and thereafter to serve the Company for at least 5 years failing which a sum of Rs.100000 (Rupees One Lakhs only) towards the cost of training and other overhead expenses to the MPPGCL
  • The Plant Assistant (ITI) Trainees and Fireman shall have to execute a Service Agreement cum Surety Bond to successfully complete the prescribed training and thereafter to serve the Company for at least 2 years failing which a sum of Rs.50000 (Rupees Fifty Thousand only) towards the cost of training and other overhead expenses to the MPPGCL

Selection Procedure:

  • The candidates have to undergo a Written Test followed by Personal Interview to qualify on a merit selection ranking for final induction.

  • For General and OBC candidates and all other state candidates: Rs.1000
  • For SC/ST/OBC/PWD from Madhya Pradesh: Rs.250
  • The fee can be remitted through ONLINE Bank Transfer/ NEFT.

  • The application should be completed in all respect with signature and photograph (to be uploaded) at the appropriate spaces
  • The applications need to be filled up with facts and documentary evidence as no permission will be granted for modification of the application once submitted
  • The candidates need to upload their certificates and documents as per the requirements specified at the website
  • The decision of MPPGCL will be final and binding on the candidates.
