As the largest telecom operator in India, BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) has invaded deep into every nook and corner of India with its extensive reach and service solutions. At present the BSNL has almost 71% share of the country’s total landline subscribers. With its recent notification, BSNL is conducting a Special Recruitment Drive (SRD) for backlog vacancies of Junior Telecom Officers, and Junior Accounts Officers from PWD category of candidates. The selection of candidates will be done through All India competitive Written Examination (OMR based).
The Junior Telecom Officer/ Junior Accounts Officer Examination will be held at 25 BSNL Territorial Circles (At their respective headquarters). Scale of Pay: The selected candidates will be eligible to receive Rs.16400- Rs.40500 in IDA Pattern (3% annual increment) along with other normal allowances as per rules.

Academic Qualification:
Junior Telecom Officer (Telecom): The applicants must have completed Bachelors Degree (BE/ BTech) in Telecommunication/ Electronics/ Radio/ Computer/ Electrical/ Information Technology/ Instrumentation Engineering; or M.Sc. (Electronics/ Computer Science) from a recognised university.
Junior Accounts Officer: The applicants must have completed Master’s Degree in Commerce (M.Com.), CA, ICWA, CS from a recognied institution/ university.
Age:
Junior Telecom Officer (Telecom): Minimum 18 years and Maximum 35 years for PwD General Category Candidates, 38 years for PwD OBC Category Candidates, and 40 years for PwD SC/ ST Category Candidates as on 10-December-2015.
Junior Accounts Officer: Minimum 20 years and Maximum 35 years for PwD General Category Candidates, 38 years for PwD OBC Category Candidates, and 40 years for PwD SC/ ST Category Candidates as on 01-January-2015.
Service Bond and Training: The total candidates selected for joining will have to sign a Bond with BSNL to serve the BSNL for a minimum period of 5 years in the designated circle. The selected candidates will be subjected to training and after successful completion of training, they will be appointed as JTO/ JAO in the concerned circle.
Service Liability: Candidates are required to serve for a period of minimum 5 years or till they are promoted to All India Cadre in this circle only. The jobs are transferable to other parts of the country and defence service as per requirements.
