WBSEDCL has invited applications from meritorious sportsperson in cricket and football for recruitment of Office Executive and Technical Support Hand against sports quota.
Nature of The Post:
These posts are open for male candidates only. Selected candidates will be subjected for one year probation period. They will be confirmed only after they qualify Pre-employment Medical Examination. They must furnish a Rs. 50000 bond with company for minimum period of 4 years.
Total Number of Vacancies:
Total posts offered by each posts are 12 for Office Executive and 10 for Technical Support Hand.

Eligibility Criteria:
Person applying for Office Executive must possess graduate degree in any discipline with 50% marks along with certificate in any computer course as mentioned in notice OR he must possess either BCA or BBA degree. He must also represented at national level sports competition organized by All India Electricity Sports Control Board.
Technical Support Hand applicant must have above defined qualifications. In addition he must read and write in Bengali/ Nepali/ English to become eligible for post.
Age Limit:
Age limit of applicants should be between 18 years and 27 years as on 01-01-2013. Upper age is relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ ST and 3 years for OBC.
Pay Scale:
Office Executive – Rs. 6,300 – Rs. 20,200 with grade pay of Rs. 3,600
Technical Support Hand – Rs. 4,900 – Rs. 9,200 with Grade Pay Rs. 1,700
Application Fee & How to:
Applicants for Office Executive must submit Rs. 250 whereas Technical Support Hand must submit Rs. 150 as application fee in the form of crossed demand draft or banker’s cheque. It must be in favor of “West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd.” payable at Kolkata only.
Selection Process:
Eligible persons shall be selected through Field Level Trials, Written test and Interview conducted by Competent Special Selection Committee.
