UPPCL Recruitment July 2014 For Filling Up 151 Backlog Vacancies from SC, ST and OBC Category only

Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) is professionally managed utility supplying reliable and cost efficient electricity to every citizen through high end technologies and committed workforce.

With the present requirement the UPPCL, invites competent applications from eligible candidates to join this versatile company and its partner organizations as Personnel Officer, Assistant Reviewing Officer, Stenographer-(Grade- III), Additional Private Secretary, Office Assistant-(Grade- III) & Office Assistant-(Grade- III)-Accounts. These posts are all backlog vacancies of the UPPCL and the applications are being invited through online mode for these posts.

The details of the vacancies are as under:

  • Post Code-15: Personnel Officer: 02 vacancies (SC)
  • Post Code-16: Assistant Reviewing Officer: 07 vacancies (SC-06, OBC-01)
  • Post Code-24: Stenographer-(Grade- III): 17 vacancies (SC-13, ST-02, OBC-02)
  • Post Code-25: Additional Private Secretary: 02 vacancies (SC)
  • Post Code-26: Office Assistant-(Grade- III): 117 vacancies (SC-78, ST-30, OBC-09)
  • Post Code-27: Office Assistant-(Grade- III)- Accounts: 06 vacancies (SC-03, OBC-03)

Pay scale and Remunerations:

  • Personnel Officer: On successful induction, the candidates will be eligible for a remuneration in the Scale of Pay of PB-III in the range of Rs.15600 – Rs.39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs.5400 and other perks as applicable from UPPCL
  • Assistant Reviewing Officer: On successful induction, the candidates will be eligible for a remuneration in the Scale of Pay of PB-II in the range of Rs.9300 – Rs.34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs.4200 and other perks as applicable from UPPCL
  • Stenographer-(Grade- III): On successful induction, the candidates will be eligible for a remuneration in the Scale of Pay of PB-II in the range of Rs.5200 – Rs.20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs.2600 and other perks as applicable from UPPCL
  • Additional Private Secretary: On successful induction, the candidates will be eligible for a remuneration in the Scale of Pay of PB-II in the range of Rs.9300 – Rs.34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs.4800 and other perks as applicable from UPPCL
  • Office Assistant-(Grade- III): On successful induction, the candidates will be eligible for a remuneration in the Scale of Pay of PB-II in the range of Rs.5200 – Rs.20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs.2600 and other perks as applicable from UPPCL
  • Office Assistant-(Grade- III)- Accounts: On successful induction, the candidates will be eligible for a remuneration in the Scale of Pay of PB-II in the range of Rs.5200 – Rs.20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs.2600 and other perks as applicable from UPPCL

Age Essentials:       

  • Personnel Officer: The applicant must not have crossed maximum age of 35 years of age and should be above 21 years as on 01-Jan-2014
  • Assistant Reviewing Officer: The applicant must not have crossed maximum age of 35 years of age and should be above 18 years as on 01-Jan-2014
  • Stenographer-(Grade- III): The applicant must not have crossed maximum age of 35 years of age and should be above 20 years as on 01-Jan-2014
  • Additional Private Secretary: The applicant must not have crossed maximum age of 35 years of age and should be above 18 years as on 01-Jan-2014
  • Office Assistant-(Grade- III): The applicant must not have crossed maximum age of 35 years of age and should be above 18 years as on 01-Jan-2014
  • Office Assistant-(Grade- III)- Accounts: The applicant must not have crossed maximum age of 35 years of age and should be above 18 years as on 01-Jan-2014
  • However, upper age for reserved category of applicants will be relaxed as per norms.

Educational eligibility:

  • Personnel Officer: The applicant must have completed Graduation in any discipline with PG-Degree or PG-Diploma in Industrial Relation/ Personal Management/ Social Work. Must have at least 3 years of post-qualification experience in a large Electricity company and should have profound knowledge of Devnagari script. Law graduates will be preferred.
  • Assistant Reviewing Officer: The applicant must have completed Graduation in any discipline with DOEACC ‘O’ Level certification or 1 year Certificate course in computers. Must have profound knowledge of Devnagari script. And should have Hindi typing speed of 40 words per minute and knowledge of English typing.
  • Stenographer-(Grade- III): The applicant must have completed Graduation in any discipline. Must have profound knowledge of Devnagari script. And should have Hindi shorthand speed of 60 words per minute and English shorthand speed of 80 words per minute. Must have Hindi typing speed of 40 words per minute and knowledge of English typing. Also must have DOEACC ‘O’ Level certification or 1 year Certificate course in computers.
  • Additional Private Secretary: The applicant must have completed Graduation in any discipline. Must have profound knowledge of Devnagari script. And should have Hindi shorthand speed of 80 words per minute and English shorthand speed of 120 words per minute. Must have Hindi typing speed of 25 words per minute and knowledge of English typing speed of 40 words per minute. Also must have DOEACC ‘O’ Level certification or 1 year Certificate course in computers.
  • Office Assistant-(Grade- III): The applicant must have completed Graduation in any discipline. Must have profound knowledge of Devnagari script. And should have Hindi typing speed of 40 words per minute and knowledge of English typing on Computers. Also must have DOEACC ‘O’ Level certification or 1 year Certificate course in computers.
  • Office Assistant-(Grade- III)- Accounts: The applicant must have completed Graduation in Commerce. Must have profound knowledge of Devnagari script. And should have Hindi typing speed of 40 words per minute and knowledge of English typing on Computers. Also must have DOEACC ‘O’ Level certification or 1 year Certificate course in computers. Must have knowledge of Accounts Related Software on Computers (e.g. Tally, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Hindi, and Devnagari Script and Computer Operations is essential for the candidates.

Selection Procedure:

  • The selection process involves a Computer Based Test (CBT), followed by a Skill Test and a Personal Interview.

Application Fee (non-refundable):

  • For General/ OBC and Other State candidates from all category: Rs.1000
  • SC/ST candidates from Uttar Pradesh: Rs.700
  • The fees can be paid through Online Mode through Net banking/ NEFT or through Cash Challan (downloaded from the website) in any branch of State Bank of India

  • The interested candidates can apply online only for Part-1 and Part-2 of the registration through the website of UPPCL at //uppcl.org
  • The applicants are advised to go through the detailed Advertisement as available at //www.epostbag.com/esc1407/ESC1406-Advt.pdf before applying for these posts.
  • The applicants should ensure that they have chosen the correct post and filled-in the right information.
  • Only One application will be accepted from candidates for any one Post
  • After online submission of Part-1 of Application, the applicants need to take the printout of the fees challan / pay fees through Online mode
  • After submission of application fees the candidates can apply for the Part-2 of the application
  • There is no need to send any hard copy or certificates at this time to the UPPCL.
  • The hardcopy of the application along with essential photocopies of the documents and fee deposit proof and Admit card should be produced during the Interview process only.
  • The decision of the Secretary, Electricity Service Commission will be final and binding on the candidates.
