Candidates will be selected on the basis of written Test only. Computer Based Test (CBT) will be held at Allahabad, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Agra, Kanpur, Bareilly, Lucknow, Ghaziabad, and Meerut cities.
The selection test shall be of three hours duration with total 200 marks and shall comprise of total 200 questions, out of which 150 questions shall be from the Diploma level Engineering Branch syllabus for the Post applied, 20 questions of General Knowledge/Awareness, 20 questions of Reasoning and 10 questions of General Hindi.
The selected Junior Engineer Trainee shall be appointed initially for a training period. After successful completion of Training period candidates will be considered for engagement in regular scale at various locations under Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd. (UPPCl) and Uttar Pradesh Power Transmission Corporation Ltd. (UPPTCL).

Candidates having FULL TIME Diploma course are eligible ONLY. Knowledge of Hindi (Devnagari Script), and Computer Operations is essential for the candidates. The General and OBC candidates should pass the examination with at least 60% marks which is relaxed up to minimum 55% for SC/ ST and PWD candidates.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and Maximum 40 years as on 01-July-2016. However, upper age for reserved category of applicants will be relaxable as per norms.
Pay scale and Remunerations: On successful induction of Trainee, the candidates will be eligible for a regular cadre in the Scale of Pay of PB-II in the range of Rs.9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs.4200 and other perks as applicable.
