Northern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Ltd (TG-NPDCL) was incorporated under the Companies Act, 1956 as a Public Limited Company on March 2000 with head quarters at Warangal to carry out electricity distribution business as part of the unbundling of erstwhile A.P.S.E.B. (Andhra Pradesh State Electricity Board). The Company caters the electricity requirements of Warangal, Karminagar, Khammam, Nizamabad and Adilabad Districts. The company reaches out to a population of about 155.22 lacs (as per Provisional Census 2011) spread across hamlets, villages and towns spanning an area of 66,860 sq. km. The principal role of company is that of service provider to support economic and lifestyle activity in its licensed area.
With the recent announcement, the TG-NPDCL is inviting competent candidature only from candidates for filling up vacancies of Public Relation Officer & Director-Operations. The earlier notification in Enadu, published for recruitment of Public Relation Officer (PRO) during May-2013 stands cancelled with release of this notification.

Pay scale:
- Public Relation Officer (PRO): This post will be filled up on Out sourcing basis. The applicants selected for this position will receive remuneration in the range of Rs.29750+ HRA@20% + Conveyance @ Rs.800 along with other applicable allowances as per the rules per month.
- Director-Operations: The applicants selected for this position will receive remuneration in the scale of Rs.14100-450-16350-500–Rs.18000 along with other perks and allowances as per the rules. The starting emoluments will be approximately Rs.54600 per month.
Age Specification:
- Public Relation Officer (PRO): The applicant must not exceed a max age of 39 years as on the date of advertisement.
- Director-Operations: The applicant must not exceed a max age of 62 years as on the date of advertisement.
Educational Qualification:
- Public Relation Officer (PRO): The Candidates applying for the Posts should have completed Graduation/ Post-Graduation in Journalism/ Mass Communication/ Public Relation. Knowledge of Telugu is essential for these posts.
- Director-Operations: The Candidates applying for the Posts should have completed minimum Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent Degree in the subject directly relevant to the position. (For. Ex: a person, who is applying for the position of Director, Finance shall have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or an equivalent subject. Qualified Chartered Accountants and Company Secretaries can also be considered as eligible persons).
Experience:
- Public Relation Officer (PRO): The Candidates applying for the Posts should have completed at least 7 years of service in Public Relation Positions in any 2 districts from the districts under the jurisdiction of TG-NPDCL.
- Director-Operations: The Candidates applying for the Posts should have at least 15 years of experience in the field relevant to the position. They must have minimum of 25 years of experience in any State/ Central Government undertaking. They also must have completed three (3) years of minimum combined service in the categories of Chief Engineer and Superintending Engineer together or three years minimum experience in the categories of Chief General Manager/Executive Director or an equivalent rank in the State Government / Public Sector Undertakings etc.
Tenure of Contract:
- Public Relation Officer (PRO): The Candidates being selected for this position will be serving the TG-NPDCL for a minimum contractual period of 3 years from the date of joining. The candidates have to sign an agreement, which will be renewed every year.
- Director-Operations: The Candidates being selected for this position will be serving the TG-NPDCL initially for a term of Two (2) years. The Tenure of the appointee may be extended for a period of One (1) year at a time up to a maximum of Two (2) extensions.
Mode of Selection:
- The selection will be done through a merit ranking by considering the experience and qualification through a Personal Interview.
