TANGEDCO.GOV.in Recruitment 01-2019: 5000 Gangman (Trainee) Vacancies– Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited (TANGEDCO) invites applications from eligible candidates for direct recruitment to the posts of Gangman (Trainee).
Gangman (Trainee)- 5000 Vacancies
The candidates on their selection in respect of Gangman (Trainee), would be placed under two year training period with a consolidated pay of 15,000/- pm and after successful completion of the training period they will be placed at Level -1 in the pay matrix (i.e., Rs.16,400 – 51,500/-)
Qualification- Candidates Studied up-to fifth standard or above. Candidates should possess adequate knowledge of Tamil.
Age Limit- Minimum 18 years and Maximum 35 years as on 01-July-2018. However, relaxation in upper age limit applicable as per rules.

Selection Process: The candidate must qualify the Physical test.
The candidates who passed the Physical test alone will be permitted to appear in the Competitive Written Examination of two hours duration (100 Marks). [The Question paper will have two parts. Part I and Part II. The competitive written examination shall be of objective type questions.]
After verification of the original certificate, the eligible candidates will be selected as per eligibility, merit of the marks in Competitive Written Examination and rule of reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Ques -1: In the case of 10th Std or above which certificate number should be provided for 5th Std. qualification and which certificate they should upload for educational qualification.
Ans: The candidates who have higher than 10th Std have to provide certificate number of 10th mark sheet and upload the 10th Mark sheet and those who have studied upto 9th Std have to provide the register number in TC or Record Sheet and upload the same.
Ques -2: Whether PSTM certificate obtained for 10th Std. or above may be used as PSTM certificate for the post of Gangman(Trainee).
Ans: Since the qualification for the post of Gangman (Trainee) is prescribed as studied upto 5th Std., the candidates have to submit the PSTM for 5th Std in order to claim Tamil Medium priority as per the Notification.
