Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) is the nodal entity in the state of Tamil Nadu offering dedicated employment support to the state government administration and other connected departments and organizations.
With the present notification from TNPSC, it invites application through online mode for Direct Recruitment to Tamil Nadu Co-operative Subordinate Service (Code-005) in the capacity of Junior Inspector of Co-operative Societies in Co-operative Department (Post Code – 1095) & Store Keeper (Grade-II) (post Code – 1098 and 1099) as per its latest advertisement published on 17-May-2013.

Details of the Post:
1. Junior Inspector of Co-operative Societies
- Department: Department of Cooperative
- Service Cadre: As under Tamil Nadu Cooperative Subordinate Service
- Post Code: 1095
- Pay Scale: The candidates getting selected for the post will be eligible to receive remuneration in the scale of Rs.5200-Rs.20200 With Grade Pay Of Rs.2400 in PB-I per month
- Number of Vacancies: 22 posts (There will be reservation for various categories as per Tamil Nadu state Govt. Rules) out of which 17 posts are carried forward posts of which 14 (13+1) posts are reserved for Members of the Cooperative societies (non-official members). In case of unavailability of suitable candidates from Members of Cooperative societies, the candidates will be selected from Open market.
- Age limit: 18 to 30 years for General candidates as reckoned on 1-July-2013. There will be relaxation in upper age limit for privileged categories (SC/ST/PWD) as per rules.
- Academics: As on 17-May-2013, the applicant must have completed Higher Secondary Course OR, Pre-University Course OR, A diploma in Rural Services awarded by the National Council for Rural Higher Education with Co-operation as one of the Subjects. Other factors being equal, preference shall be given to a person who holds a degree in Commerce/ Higher Diploma in Cooperative Management.
- Local Language: Knowledge of Tamil is essential for candidates.
2. Store Keeper, Grade-II
- Department: Industries and Commerce Department / Employment and Training (Training wing) Department
- Service Cadre: As under Tamil Nadu Ministerial Service
- Post Code: 1098 and 1099
- Pay Scale: The candidates getting selected for the post will be eligible to receive remuneration in the scale of Rs.5200-Rs.20200 With Grade Pay Of Rs.2800 in PB-I per month
- Number of Vacancies: 20 posts (There will be reservation for various categories as per Tamil Nadu state Govt. Rules)
- Age limit: 18 to 30 years for General and no maximum age limit for others as reckoned on 1-July-2013.
- Academics: As on 17-May-2013, the applicant must have passed Intermediate Examination OR, Pre-University Exam OR, Higher Secondary Examination
- Local Language: Knowledge of Tamil is essential for candidates.
Note:
- Candidates selected for appointment to the posts will be required to produce a certificate of physical fitness in the prescribed format as given in the official site of the commission at www.tnpsc.gov.in
Scheme of examination:
- The selection will be made on the basis of Written examination followed by Oral Test/ Interview
Security deposit:
- For candidates selected as Store Keepers there will a pre-defined amount as Security Deposit (for details log in to official site of the commission at www.tnpsc.gov.in)
Examination Fee:
- Rs.150 (Examination Fee Rs.100 + Cost of Application Rs.50) for all candidates
- Those candidates who have already done one time registration by paying Rs.50 should be exempted from paying Application Fee
- Candidates can also resister for this procedure during this registration by payment of Rs.50 towards application fees, which will remain valid till 5 years
How to Pay the Application Fee:
There are two modes of fee payment –
- Through online payment by net banking, credit cards or debit cards
And,
- Through Post Office or Indian Bank by system generated Fee Payment Challan
Payment should be made within 2 working days from the date of registration.
Application procedure
- Candidates should apply only through online in the Commission’s Website at www.tnpsc.gov.in or in www.tnpscexams.net.
- A valid e-mail ID or Mobile Number is mandatory for registration and e-mail ID should be kept active till the declaration of results.
- Candidates can apply online by logging into the portal with the unique ID provided during registration.
- After submitting the application, candidates can print /save their application in PDF format.
- The Hall Tickets for eligible candidates will be made available in the Commission’s Website www.tnpsc.gov.in or www.tnpscexams.net for downloading by candidates.
- No Hall Tickets will be sent by post.
- The Online Application can be filled up to 10-June-2013 till 11.49 PM, after which the link will be disabled
