SSCMPR Recruitment 2014 for Various Profiles at the State Government

As a state level nodal agency for competent selection and recruitment for various state cadre government positions, the Staff Selection Commission – Madhya Pradesh sub-region (SSCMPR) is operating from Raipur, Chhattisgarh with a dedicated service for the Madhya Pradesh state. The commission is responsible for recruitment and selection of eligible and competent candidates for various state government jobs and other institutions under the state government departments.

With the recent announcement from SSC-MPR, applications are being invited for filling-up various positions of Junior Chemist, Junior Technical Assistant, Storekeeper Grade-II, Horticulture Assistant Grade-I, Scientific Assistant & Senior Technical Assistants to be posted in the state and other places in the National Capital- New Delhi.

The details of the vacancies and criteria for selection thereof are described as under:

Important Dates:

  • Date of notification in Employment News: 20-Jun-2014
  • Date of final receipt of Application: 18-Jul-2014 till 05:00 PM
  • Date of final receipt of Application from far-flung areas: 25-Jul-2014 till 05:00 PM

Details of the vacancies:

  1. Category Code- MPR-01 – Junior Chemist: 02 Posts (UR & suitable for PH candidates)
  2. Category Code- MPR-02 – Junior Technical Assistant: 01 Post (UR & NOT suitable for PH candidates)
  3. Category Code- MPR-03 – Storekeeper Grade-II: 01 Post (UR & suitable for PH candidates)
  4. Category Code- MPR-04 – Horticulture Assistant Grade-I: 01 Post (UR & NOT suitable for PH candidates)
  5. Category Code- MPR-05 – Scientific Assistant (Previously Scientific Assistant-I): 01 Post (UR & NOT suitable for PH candidates)
  6. Category Code- MPR-06 – Senior Technical Assistants (Hydrogeology): 03 Posts (UR-01, SC-01, ST-01)

Reservation Rule:

  • The rules of reservation for SC, ST, BC, EBC, WBC candidates are applicable as per the normal recruitment norms.

Pay Scale:

  • Junior Chemist: The candidates selected for these positions will be eligible to receive remuneration in the scale of Rs.5200 – Rs.20200 and Grade Pay of Rs.2800 along with other perks and allowances in PB-I.
  • Junior Technical Assistant: The candidates selected for these positions will be eligible to receive remuneration in the scale of Rs.9300 – Rs.34800 and Grade Pay of Rs.4200 along with other perks and allowances in PB-II.
  • Storekeeper Grade-II: The candidates selected for these positions will be eligible to receive remuneration in the scale of Rs.5200 – Rs.20200 and Grade Pay of Rs.2400 along with other perks and allowances in PB-I.
  • Horticulture Assistant Grade-I: The candidates selected for these positions will be eligible to receive remuneration in the scale of Rs.5200 – Rs.20200 and Grade Pay of Rs.2800 along with other perks and allowances in PB-I.
  • Scientific Assistant: The candidates selected for these positions will be eligible to receive remuneration in the scale of Rs.5200 – Rs.20200 and Grade Pay of Rs.2800 along with other perks and allowances in PB-I.
  • Senior Technical Assistants: The candidates selected for these positions will be eligible to receive remuneration in the scale of Rs.9300 – Rs.34800 and Grade Pay of Rs.4600 along with other perks and allowances in PB-II.

Criteria for Age:

  • Junior Chemist: The candidates should not have crossed the max age limit of 30 years as on 18-July-2014.
  • Junior Technical Assistant: The candidates should not have crossed the max age limit of 30 years as on 18-July-2014.
  • Storekeeper Grade-II: The candidates should not have crossed the max age limit of 25 years as on 18-July-2014.
  • Horticulture Assistant Grade-I: The candidates should have attained minimum age of 18 years and should not have crossed the max age limit of 28 years as on 18-July-2014.
  • Scientific Assistant: The candidates should have attained minimum age of 18 years and should not have crossed the max age limit of 25 years as on 18-July-2014.
  • Senior Technical Assistants: The candidates should not have crossed the max age limit of 30 years as on 18-July-2014.
  • However, the age relaxation in upper age limit will be applicable for candidates belonging to respective identified categories (SC, ST, BC, EBC, WBC, etc.) as per provisions.

Criteria for Education & Physical:

  • Junior Chemist: The candidates must have completed Master’s degree in Chemistry or Dairy Chemistry or Oil Technology or Food Technology OR, B.Sc. degree with Chemistry as one of the subject or B.Sc. (Hons.) in Chemistry with 2 years of experience with Analytical Work.
  • Junior Technical Assistant: The candidates must have completed Degree in Commerce or Economics or Degree in Law. The criteria may be relaxed if the candidates are found to be otherwise suitable.
  • Storekeeper Grade-II: The candidates must have completed Degree in Agriculture or in Science with Chemistry as one of the subjects.
  • Horticulture Assistant Grade-I: The candidates must have completed Master Degree in Agriculture with specialization in Horticulture OR, Master Degree in Horticulture or Floriculture or Pomology, OR, B.Sc. Degree in Agriculture or Horticulture with 03 Years service in the Pay Band-I positions in Govt. Or Semi-Govt. Or Autonomous institutions.
  • Scientific Assistant: The candidates must have completed B.Sc. with Botany or Zoology or B.Sc. in Agriculture.
  • Senior Technical Assistants: The candidates must have completed Master’s degree in Geology/ Hydrogeology/ Applied Geology/ Marine Geology or Geo-Exploration/ Earth Science and Resources Management, OR, Master of Technology (Engineering Geology). The minimum qualifications may be relaxed for competent and otherwise suitable candidates.

Period of Probation:

  • The candidates selected for these positions will serve the respective departments for an Initial Probation Period of 2 years from the date of their joining.

Application Fee and Intimation charges:

  • For Examination Fee: Rs.50
  • The payment can be made through “Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS)” only.
  • SC/ST/PWD/Ex-Servicemen/ Women candidates are exempted from paying any fee.
  • No other mode of fee payment will be accepted

Selection Procedure:

  • Usually, the selection to the posts will be made on the basis of an Interview/ Personality Test/ Skill Test only.
  • However, the Commission may, at its discretion decide to hold a screening test for any of the categories where it is felt necessary before Interview/ Personality Test/ Proficiency Test/ Skill Test.

  • The candidates should ensure that their personal email ID is kept active during the recruitment period
  • The candidate should fill in competent details with factual information.
