Staff Selection Commission popularly known as SSC is a government body which is mainly responsible of recruitment of non-technical and non-gazetted posts in various departments. Non-technical posts are classified as Group C and non-gazetted posts of both technical and non- technical are classified as Group B. It was established in 1976 under the ministry of personnel and training of government of India. Initially the body was named as Subordinate Service Commission but later on it was changed to Staff Selection Commission. SSC has total of 9 regional offices across India in cities like Chennai, Bangalore, Allahabad, New Delhi, Guwahati, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chandigarh and Raipur. Moreover it is considered as the largest recruiting body in country which conducts examinations through regional directorates.
Staff Selection Commission (SSC) invites application for the post of Constable (GD) in ITBPF, BSF, CISF, CRPF & SSB and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles. Application Fee: Candidates can submit application fee Rs.50/- both offline and online mode.
Through Offline mode candidates should pay the fee of s 50/- (s Fifty only) by means of “Central Recruitment Fee Stamps(CRFS)”only .CRFS stamps are available at the counter of all Departmental Post Offices of the country.
Through Online mode candidates can submit their application fee Rs. 50/- in form of challan or net-banking through any SBI branch or through CRF stamp.
For SC/ST/Women candidates: No Fee
Pay Scale: Pay Band – I, Rs. 5200-20200 + GP Rs. 2000/-
Educational Qualification: Matriculation/SSC/ equivalent from a recognized institution.
