Age Limit: Minimum 23 years and maximum 27 years as on April 08, 2013 (Note: Departmental candidate will get relaxation in upper age limit up to 40 years.)

Candidates are suggested to pay the fee in the form of CRFS. These stamps are available at all departmental Post Offices of the country. Candidates are suggested to pasted the stamp at the top of the application in provided space. CRFS must got cancelled from post office counter with the date stamp of post office in the manner that the impression is clear and distinct to facilate the identification of the date and the post issuer post office at any stage.
Any other mode of application fee will get rejected.
For women candidates/ SC/ ST/ PH: No fee
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Physics or Geo-Physics or Geology or Meteorology or Hydro-meteorology from a recognized university or equivalent.
Pay Scale: PB-2: Rs.9300-34800 + Grade Pay Rs.4200/-
Selection Process: Selection Process will be based on performance in Screening Test or Proficiency Test, Interview
Probation Period: Two Years
