Sikkim Human Resource Development (HRDD) Department to conducts Sikkim Teachers Eligibility Test SKTET 2017; for a person to be eligible for appointment as Primary Teacher for Classes I to V and for Elementary (Graduate) Teacher for Classes VI to VIII.

Starting Date for Receipt of Applications: 04-January-2017
Last Date for Receipt of Applications: 25-January-2017
Availability of Admit Card: 10-02-2017 to 16-February-2017
Sikkim TET 2017 Date: 19-February-2017 [Both level I and Level II i.e. for Primary and Graduate teacher will be conducted on the same day.]
10.00 am to 12:30 pm for (Elementary (GT) teacher), AND 01:30 pm to 4.00 pm for (Primary teacher)
Eligibility Criteria:
For Primary Teacher for classes I-V (Primary Stage)-
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks in aggregate for unreserved candidates and 45 % in case of SC, ST, OBC (Central),OBC (State) and passed in final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education ( D. El. Ed). OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks in aggregate for unreserved candidates and 45 % in case of SC, ST, OBC (Central), OBC (State) and passed in final year of 4 years Bachelors of Elementary Education (B. Ed ). OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks in aggregate and 45 % in case of SC, ST, OBC (Central), OBC (State) and passed in final year of 2 years Diploma in Education (Special Education).
For classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage)-
B.A./B.Sc. with 50% in aggregate marks for unreserved candidates and 45 % in case of SC, ST,OBC (Central), OBC (State) and passed in final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (D. El. Ed.). OR
B.A./ B.Sc. with 50 % marks in aggregate for unreserved candidates and 45 % in case of SC, ST, OBC (Central), OBC(State) and passed in final year of 1/2 year Bachelor in Education (B. Ed.).
Exam Pattrn: TET will be of 150 Objective type questions (Multiple Choice question) of 2:30 hours duration. There will be no negative marking.
Paper I (for Primary teacher for classes I to V)
Paper II (for Graduate teacher for classes VI to VIII)
Candidates who intends to appear in both the categories (Primary and Graduate) will have to apply and sit in both the papers separately.
Qualifying Criteria: Candidates who scores 60% or more in TET will be considered TET pass. 5 % relaxation of marks is applicable to SC/ST,Central & State OBC candidates.
Exam Fee: Rs. 400/-
Applicants are suggested to depost the fee in form of bank draft, in favour of Joint Director/ Exam, HRDD in any branch of IDBI Bank in the State(Account Number:0108102000006767).
How to Apply: Interested candidates are suggested to submit duly completed application form along with bank draft, self attested photocopies of documents/ certificates as per suggested in official advertisement; in Room No.308 of HRDD Secretariat.
