Educational Qualification:
Constable: Class- X pass from any recognized board for open candidates & Class-VIII pass for Home Guard candidates.
Followers: Minimum Class VIII passed.
Physical Requirements:
- Weight – Minimum 50 Kgs
- Height – 5’3”
- Chest – Minimum 32” with minimum expansion of 2”
Pay Scale:
- Constable: Rs. 5200-20200 plus grade pay of Rs. 2400
- Followers: Rs.5200-20200 plus grade pay of Rs.2200
Selection Process:
Selection process will be based on;
Physical measurement, followed by Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Written Test (General Knowledge, Important Places, Personalities, and Culture of Sikkim; Mathematics, Letter Writing, Essay Writing), and Viva-Voce.
Candidates will have to qualify the PET in order to appear in written test/ skill test. Only those candidates who qualify in the written test shall be called for viva-voce.
Important Note:
All relevant documents in original to be brought for scrutiny during viva-voce/ skill test. Those candidates who have appeared in class-X examination and class-VIII examination in the current session that is March/April 2013 will have to produce their original pass certificate during scrutiny of documents.
There will be Skill Test of respective trade for followers.
