Durgapur Steel Plant, an unit of SAIL invites application from eligible candidates for recruitment of Operator-cum-Technician (Trainee), Attendant-cum-Technician (Trainee), and Medical Service Provider (Trainee).
Selected candidates shall be placed on training for a minimum period of two years that may be extended by another two years as per requirement. After successful completion of training, candidates shall be placed under probation for one year.

Age Limit:
- Candidates must not have crossed 28 years of age as on 01-Aug-2014
- Relaxation in age limit will be as per rules.
Pay Scale:
- Operator-cum-Technician (Trainee), and Medical Service Provider (Trainee): The selected applicants will be eligible for a scale pay in the range of Rs.16800-3%-24110/- in S-3 grade.
- Attendant-cum-Technician (Trainee): The selected applicants will be eligible for a scale pay in the range of Rs.15830-3%-22150/- in S-1 grade.
Educational Qualification:
- Operator-cum-Technician (Trainee): Matriculation and 3 years full time Diploma in relevant discipline of Engineering only (Metallurgy / Mechanical / Electrical / Civil / Electronics / Chemical) from Govt. recognized Institute.
- Attendant-cum-Technician (Trainee): Matriculation and ITI (full time) in relevant trades only (Fitter / Electrician / Welder) from Govt. recognized Institute.
- Medical Service Provider (Trainee) – Radiology: B.Sc. in Paramedical Technology (Radiology) from Govt. recognized institute or 10+2 (Science) with full time Diploma of minimum 2 years duration in Radiology from Govt. recognized Institute with one year post qualification experience in relevant field.
- Medical Service Provider (Trainee) – Pharmacist: Degree in Pharmacy or 10+2 (Science) with full time Diploma in Pharmacy of minimum 2 years duration and registered with Indian/ State Pharmacy council with one year post qualification experience in relevant field..
- Medical Service Provider (Trainee) – Dietician: Bachelor Degree (full time) in Dietetics/ Food & Nutrition/ Clinical Nutrition from Govt. recognized Institute/ University after 10+2 (Science) with one year post qualification experience in relevant field.
Application Fee:
- Operator-cum-Technician (Trainee) /Medical Service Provider (Trainee): General / OBC candidates: Rs. 250/-; Departmental candidate Rs.50/- (only processing fee)
- Attendant-cum-Technician (Trainee): General / OBC candidates: Rs. 150/-; Departmental candidate Rs.50/- (only processing fee)

- SC/ST/PWD candidates are exempted from payment of Application and Processing fees.
Mode of Selection: Candidates will be selected on the basis of Written Examination, and Interview.
