RBI Assistant Examination- 2021 2A/ 2021-22 With the recent announcement from the Reserve Bank of India, there is an announcement to fill up 950 numbers of vacancies for the post of “Assistants” in various states.
Selection for the post will be through a country-wide competitive examination in two phases that is Preliminary and Main examination followed by a Language Proficiency Test.

The rules of reservation for SC, ST, PWD, Ex-Sm and OBC candidates are applicable as per the normal Reserve Bank norms and such posts will be reserved for candidates provided they offer a certificate proof against their claim for reservation
Educational Requirement: The applicant must have a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% (pass grade for SC/ST/PWD) marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate. Candidates applying for post in a particular state should be proficient in the local language of the state (all read, write, speak and understand the language).
Age as on (01-February 2022): The applicant must be within 20-28 years of age to be eligible to apply for the posts. Upper age limit is relaxed for SC, ST, OBC candidates as per norms. For exact relaxation rules please read the detailed Adv at rbi.org.in
Pay Scale: The applicants selected for the posts will receive a monthly emolument in the scale of 13150-750 (3)-15400- 900(4) -19000-1200(6)-26200-1300 (2)-28800- 1480(3) – 33240 – 1750 (1)- 34990 (20 years) and other allowances.
Application fees:
For unreserved category (UR, OBC): Rs. 450/- (Rupees four hundred fifty only).
For SC/ST/PWD/Ex-Sm candidates: Rs. 50/- (Rupees fifty only).
Fee is payable by Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets. On successful completion of the transaction, an e-Receipt will be generated. Candidates are required to take a printout of the e-Receipt and online Application Form containing fee details.
Selection Procedure: Selection for the post will be through a country-wide competitive examination in two phases that is Preliminary and Main examination followed by a Language Proficiency Test.
Selected candidates will be initially posted in RBI’s office within the Recruitment Zone for which they had applied. However, they are liable to be transferred in administrative exigencies to centres grouped and classified into West, South, North and East Zone offices as under:
West Zone: Ahmedabad, Bhopal (including Raipur), Mumbai (including Belapur), Nagpur, Pune and Panaji.
South Zone: Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram.
North Zone: Chandigarh (including Shimla), Jaipur, Jammu / Srinagar, Kanpur, Lucknow (including Dehradun), New Delhi.
East Zone: Bhubaneswar, Guwahati (including all North Eastern states), Kolkata, Patna (including Ranchi)
