Are you looking for Career in Indian Railways? Now Aadhaar Card Mandatory To Apply For Railway Jobs – Railway Recruitment Boards (RRB), Ministry of Railways/ Government of India
Candidates looking for career in Indian Railways, must have enrolled with Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). To apply for upcoming Indian Railway Jobs, candidates have to fill 12 digit Aadhaar Number at the time of submission of application form.
Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have decided that in all future/ upcoming railway recruitment, the applicant shall be required to furnish his/ her 12 digit Aadhaar Number at the time of filling up the application form. However, candidates belonging to the states of Jammu and Kashmir, Meghalaya, and Assam are exempted from this provision.
The Applicants from Jammu and Kashmir, Meghalaya, and Assam states will have to enter the valid passport number, Voter-ID Card Number, Driving License Number, or any other valid Government identity Card Number while filling application form.
Candidates who wish to apply for future/ upcoming Railway Jobs or Railway Recruitment Board Examination, and don’t have enrolled with UIDAI, must have enrolled himself/ herself and get Aadhaar Card. During the railway recruitment exam, the finger prints of the applicants can be collected through a bio-metric attendance system and matched with the one stored with the Aadhaar server.
“Candidates applying for Indian Railway Recruitment will have to furnish his/ her 12-digit Aadhaar number or 28-digit Aadhaar Registration receipt; at the time of filling up the application. Candidates are suggested to visit the Aadhaar Enrolment centers to get them enrolled for Aadhaar“ said Railways Recruitment Board.
