To assist the administration in a smooth process of operation the UT administration has divided into various categories of departments to take care of the local administration. The Health and Family Welfare Department is one of the most vital departments for looking after public health. With the recent announcement from the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare Services under the UT Government of Puducherry, applications are being invited from competent applicants for direct recruitment for the posts as mentioned below.

Educational qualification Requirement:
- Post Code 1: ANM / Maternity Assistant: The candidate is required to have a pass certificate in Matriculation along with Diploma in Multipurpose Health Worker (Female) or Diploma in ANM. The applicant should have registered in the State Nursing Council or Nursing Council of India.
- Post Code 2: Dental Hygienist: The applicant must have completed SSLC or its and must have Passed Dental Hygienist Examination
- Post code 3: Dialysis Operator: The applicant must have a Bachelor Degree in Science with three years experience in Hemodialysis / Peritoneal Dialysis
- Post Code 4: ECG Technician: The applicant must have completed SSLC with three years experience in handling ECG Machine in a Govt. / Private Hospital
- Post Code 5: Health Assistant: The applicant must have completed SSLC with Diploma in Multipurpose Health Worker (Male) or Diploma in Sanitation or Diploma in Health Inspector or equivalent
- Post Code 6: Medical Record Technician: The applicant must have completed Matriculation or its equivalent with experience for two years in the Medical Record Section of a Hospital
- Post Code 7: Ophthalmic Technician: The applicant must have completed Matriculation or its equivalent with Two years Diploma or Degree in Ophthalmic Technician or Ophthalmic Assistant
- Post Code 8: Pharmacist (Allopathy): The applicant must have completed SSLC along with Diploma in Pharmacy. The applicant should have Registration in Pharmacist Register
- Post Code 9: Physiotherapist: The applicant must have completed Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy
- Post Code 10: Plumber: The applicant must have completed SSLC/ Matriculation with an ITI Certificate in the trade of Plumber
- Post Code 11: Radiographer: The applicant must have completed Matriculation with a Certificate Course of Radiological Assistant
- Post Code 12: Refrigeration Mechanic: The applicant must have completed SSLC with an ITI trade certificate in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
- Post Code 13: Senior Lab Technician: The applicant must have completed a Degree in Chemistry/ Medical Lab. Technology/ Microbiology.
Age:
- The applicant should have attained a minimum age of 18 years and should not have exceed 32 years of age as on 21-June-2013.
- Any relaxation in upper age will be allowed only for permanent domiciles of Puducherry only
Pay Provisions and Scale of Pay:
The applicants joining the service after selection will be granted a Pay Scale in the range as defined below:

- Post Code 2: Rs. 9300 – Rs. 34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4200 in PB-II
- Post code 3: Rs. 9300 – Rs. 34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4200 in PB-II
- Post Code 4: Rs. 5200 – Rs. 20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 2400 in PB-I

Selection Procedure:
- The selection will be done only through a comparative selection of academic marks and the skills acquired.
- In the event of equalization of marks, candidates having higher age will be offered preference.
