Academics:
Statistical Investigator- The candidates must have a Bachelors (Honours) Degree in Mathematics/ Statistics/ Physics/ Economics or B.Com. with minimum 505 marks.
Statistical Assistant- The candidates must have a Bachelors Degree in Arts/ Science/ Commerce with Mathematics or Statistics or Economics or Physics or Computer Application as one of the subjects. Candidates having higher qualification are most welcome.
Primary Investigator- The candidates must have a Bachelors Degree in Arts/ Science/ Commerce having Statistics/ Economics/ Applied Economics/ Agricultural Economics/ Anthropology/ Sociology/ Tribal Studies/ Social Work as one of the subjects. Candidates should have knowledge of computer applications.
Note: Candidates must have read Odia as a one of the languages in their matriculation subjects. The candidate must have passed some equivalent qualification in Odia till middle school standard.
Age Criteria:
For Statistical Investigator and Statistical Assistant Posts- The candidate must fall within the age group of 21-32 years as on 1st January 2015 to be eligible to apply. The candidate must not have born before 2nd January 1983 and should not have born after 1st of January 1994.
For Primary Investigator Post- The candidate must fall within the age group of 18-32 years as on 1st January 2015 to be eligible to apply. The candidate must not have born before 2nd January 1983 and should not have born after 1st of January 1997.
However, there will be relaxation in upper age limit for 5 years in case of SC, ST, SEBC and Women as well as relaxation for candidates in other categories as per rules.
Scale of Pay:
Statistical Investigator (Post Code: 23/SI)- Rs. 9300-34800/- plus Grade Pay Rs. 4200/-
Statistical Assistant (Post Code: 24/SA)- Rs. 9300-34800/- plus Grade Pay Rs. 4200/-
Primary Investigator (Post Code: 25/PI)- Rs. 5200-20200/- plus Grade Pay Rs. 2000/-
Examination Fee: Candidates can make the payment of Rs. 100/- through Online/ Offline mode using the Treasury Portal/ by the conventional mode of deposit in the Treasury. SC/ ST/ PWD candidates are exempted from payment of examination fee.
Candidates can make the payment via E-Payment mode through the official portal www.odishatreasury.gov.in; OR by Online mode by using Net Banking or Debit Card. OR
Candidates can also be paid the fee pay through offline mode in form of Challan drawn under the Head of Account “0051-PSC-104-UPSC/SSC-Examination Fees-0047-Fees collected for conducting examinations-02041-Examination Fees” OR through the Conventional mode into the Treasury under the “Head of Account-0051-PSC-104-UPSC/SSC-Examination Fees-0047-Fees collected for conducting examinations-02041-Examination Fees”.
Plan of Examination: There will be one Written Test of 300 marks comprising of language paper and general studies of 150 marks, and technical paper of 150 marks. Viva Voce test will be of 30 marks. Final selection will be based upon merit performance of the candidates on this whole procedure.
How to Apply: Application The candidates need to apply through the website of the Commission at www.odishassc.in for the first phase of Online Application Form submission. The candidates are requested to practice acute sense of cautiousness for filling the online application form. The candidates need to upload their photo and signature at the appropriate spaces on the Online Application Form. Immediately after submitting the Online Application, the candidates need to take out two copies of the application for further references. Only those candidates who qualify in written examination shall have to submit the duly signed OSSC copy of online submitted application, along with original and self attested copies of required documents/ certificates as mentioned in official advertisement in the office of Commission on the date of Viva-voce test.
