Eligibility Criteria:
Candidate must possess Bachelor Degree in Engineering OR Bachelor Degree in Technology. OR Department of Electronics and Accreditation of Computer Course B-Level OR Associate member of Institute of Engineers OR Graduate Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers OR Master’s Degree in Science (MSc) OR Master Degree in Computer Application OR Master’s Degree in Engineering OR Technology (ME or M-Tech) OR Master’s Degree in Philosophy (MPhil).

Experience-
Candidates should have minimum 4 years of post qualification experience for Scientist-C; 8 years of post qualification experience for Scientist-D; 12 years of post qualification experience for Scientist-E; and 18 years of post qualification experience for Scientist-F.
Note- For Candidates having Master Degree in Engineering or Master Degree in Technology or Master Degree in Philosophy, two years relaxation in above experience shall be applicable for all posts.
Upper Age Limit: 35 years for Scientist C, 40 years for Scientist D, 45 years for Scientist E, 50 years for Scientist F as on 21-Nov-2022. However, relaxation in upper age limit for reserved category is applicable as per government rules.
Pay Scale:
Scientist C: Pay Level 11
Scientist D: Pay Level 12
Scientist E: Pay Level 13
Scientist F: Pay Level 13A
Mode of Selection:
Scientist ‘C’ and Scientist ‘D’: Candidate will be selected based on the Screening Test, Evaluation of the academic records followed by personal interaction / interview.
The screening test will be of qualifying nature and would comprise of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ) on Reasoning, Basic Mathematics, English, Aptitude, Attitude and Leadership Quality.
Candidates qualifying the screening test with minimum 60% of marks, would only be considered eligible to fill up the second phase (main application form) for the posts of Scientist ‘C’ and Scientist ‘D’.
Final merit list would be prepared based on the marks obtained out of a maximum of 150 marks, i.e. marks obtained in the Evaluation process (max 120 marks) and in the Interview (max 30 marks).
Scientist ‘E’ and Scientist ‘F’: The direct recruitment to the post of Scientist E and Scientist F would be done through a two-stage process i.e. Evaluation of the academic records followed by personal interaction/interview.
Final merit list would be prepared based on the marks obtained out of a maximum of 150 marks, i.e. marks obtained in the Evaluation process (max 120 marks) and in the Interview (max 30 marks).

SC/ ST/ PWD/ Women candidates are exempted from payment of application fee. Applicants are suggested to pay the application fee through online payment mode via application software only.
