High Court of Madras, invites applications from eligible candidates for direct recruitment of Superintendent (Catering), and Bearer in the Madras High Court Service . Candidates will be selected on the basis of skill test and Interview conducted only at Chennai. The selected candidates will be posted at the residence of the Hon’ble the Chief Justice of the Madras High Court, at Chennai.

Age Limit As on 01-January-2016: Minimum 18 years and Maximum 30 years for general candidates, 35 years in case of reserved category candidates.
Qualification:
Superintendent (Catering)- Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination. Candidates should be able to read, write and speak two languages as Tamil and English, and have three years experience in cooking Indian/ Chinese / Continental foods. OR
Candidates must possess Degree or Diploma or Certificate Course in Hotel Management/ Catering technology or any of the Craft Courses in the field of Catering, from a recognized university/ Institute. Candidates should be able to read, write and speak two languages as Tamil and English.
Bearer- Candidates must Pass in VIII Standard or its equivalent with a knowledge to read, write and speak Tamil and any other language with two years experience as Assistant Cook/ Bearer/ Helper, etc. OR
Candidates must possess Certificate Course in Hotel Management/ Catering Technology or any of the Craft Courses in the field of Catering from a recognized University/ Institute. Candidates should have two years experience in the respective field with a knowledge to read, write and speak Tamil and any other language.
Pay Scale:
Superintendent (Catering)- Rs. 9300-34800/- plus Grade Pay Rs. 4600/-
Bearer- Rs. 4800-10000/- plus Grade Pay Rs. 1400/-
Application Fee:
Rs.350/- for the post of Superintendent (Catering)
Rs.150/- for the post of Bearer
SC/ ST category candidates are exempted from payment of application fees.
Candidates are suggested to pay the application fee in form of Demand Draft drawn in any Nationalised Bank in favour of the Registrar General, High Court of Madras, payable at Chennai. The Demand Draft should have been obtained on or after 18-January-2016.
