Water Resources Department, Karnataka notifies for recruitment of 889 Assistant Engineer (Division 1) and Junior Engineer Posts.
Assistant Engineer (Division 1): 600 Vacancies
Residual Parent Cadre: 500 Posts, Out of which 429 Civil Engineering and 71 Mechanical Engineering
Local Cadre (Hyderabad- Karnataka Region): 100 Posts, Out of which 159 Civil Engineering and 41 Mechanical Engineering
Junior Engineer: 289 Vacancies
Residual Parent Cadre: 200 Posts, Out of which 98 Civil Engineering and’02 Mechanical Engineering
Local Cadre (Hyderabad- Karnataka Region): 89 Posts, Out of which 87 Civil Engineering and 02 Mechanical Engineering
Eligibility Norms:
Assistant Engineer (Division 1)- Candidates must be holder of a Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering as per the requirement as the case may be or must be holder of a Diploma Certificate from a recognized Institute of Engineers regarding pass in Parts – A and B of the AMIE.
Junior Engineer- Candidates must be a holder of a Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering as per the requirement as the case may be from The Department of Technical Education in Karnataka.
Candidates must qualifies in a test in Kannada language comprising of one paper carrying maximum of 180 marks and secures minimum of 50 marks in the said qualifying test regarding knowledge of Kannada. The standard of this paper shall be that of First language Kannada at SSLC level.
