Established in the year 1989, Jawaharlal Nehru Port (JNP) is the single largest container handling port of India. This port has broken many of its benchmarking standards during its operation in the last 24 years. At present Jawaharlal Nehru Port is handling around 60% of the Indian Containerized Cargo shipments and with this glorious heritage this port is honored to be 24th largest among the 100 large container carrying Ports of the World.
To maintain its standard of delivery and container management the JNP has set up world-class infrastructure with integration of high-end technology. With a view to enhance its support to young, educated and enthusiastic mass of the country, the JNP is inviting applications for the positions of Apprentice Training for young Graduate Engineers and Diploma Engineers from various streams:

Most Important:
- The candidates should have passed their Graduation in Engineering, Diploma in Engineering or 10+2 with Vocational Course on 2012 or later.
- Those candidates passing qualifying examination before 2012 will not be eligible to apply
Period of training:
The training of Apprentice will be for a period of 1 year duration. The JNP do not guarantee to provide employment to any Apprentice Trainee after completion of the training period
Stipendiary provisions:
- Graduate Engineers: Rs.3560 (Consolidated per month)
- Diploma Engineers: Rs.2530 (Consolidated per month)
- Vocational Trainees: Rs.1970 (Consolidated per month)
Selection Procedure:
- The candidates will be selected on the basis of their marks obtained in their level of qualifications
- Candidates, selected will be finally considered at the discretion of JNP
