Indian Navy, invites application from eligible unmarried man and women candidates for Short Service Commission (SSC) in Pilot and NAI entry for course commencing Jun 2017 at the Indian Naval Academy Ezhimala, Kerala. Applicants who have failed in Pilot Aptitude Battery Test earlier are not eligible for Pilot Entry.
For Pilot, Short Service Commission is granted for a term of 14 years and for NAIC initially for 12 years and extendable by 2 years. No extension will be given beyond 14 years

Minimum Qualification Required:
Pilot- The candidates must have passed BE/ B.Tech degree or in the final year of Engineering Course in any discipline; with physics and maths at 12th standard.
NAIC- The candidates must have passed BE/ B.Tech degree or in the final year of Engineering Course in any one stream i.e. Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Production, Instrumentation, IT, Chemical Metallurgy and Aerospace Engineering.
Note: Candidates must have secured minimum of 60% overall aggregate marks on completion of BE/B.Tech. Candidates must also have fulfill required physical standards.
Age Limit:
Pilot: Born between July 2, 1993 and July 01, 1998 both dates inclusive: Minimum age limit is 19 years and maximum age limit is 25 years.
NAIC: Born between July 2, 1992 and January 01, 1998 both dates inclusive: Minimum age limit is 19 ½ years and maximum age limit is 25 years.
Mode of Selection: Candidates will be issued call up for Service Selection Board (SSB) interviews based on their performance in educational qualification.

Pilot Entry- Pilot candidates will undergo 22 weeks of Naval orientation course (NOC) at INA, Ezhimala followed by Stage I and Stage II flying training at the Air Force Academy/Naval Establishment/Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Udaan Academy (IGRUA). On successful completion of training, the candidates will be awarded ‘wings’. The candidates will be entitled for flying pay and allowances only after award of ‘wings’.
NAIC Entry- Candidates will undergo Naval Orientation Course at the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala followed by professional training at various Naval Training Establishments/Units/Ships. Full pay and allowances are admissible to officers whilst under training
