Candidates must possess Medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or Part-II of the third schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. The holders of educational qualification included in Part-II of the third schedule should fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of Section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Completion of compulsory rotating internship.

Candidates must possess Masters degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry or Dairy Chemistry or Food Technology or Microbiology or Food and Nutrition or Medicine or Science or Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Chemistry from a recognised university. Candidates should have minimum eleven years experience in the testing of drugs in a laboratory. OR
Post Graduate degree in Medicine or Science or Medical Laboratory Technology or Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Chemistry of a recognised University or possesses the Associate ship diploma of the Institution of Chemists (India) obtained by passing the said examination with ‘Analysis of Drugs and Pharmaceuticals’ as one of the subject and has after obtaining the said post graduate degree or diploma not less than eight years experience in the testing of drugs in laboratory.

Post Graduate Degree in Ayurveda Sciences in any one subject of Ayurveda i.e. Kayachikitsa, Shalya Tantra, Shalkya Tantra, Samhita & basic principles, Prasuti Tantra & Stri Roga, Ras Shastra & Bhaishjya Kalpna, Dravyaguna Vigyana, Sharir Kriya, Sharir Rachana, Rog Nidan, Swastha Vrita, Agad Tantra, Panchkarma and Kumar Bharitya etc. from any recognized University.
Ph.D Degree in Ayurveda Sciences in any one subject of Ayurveda from any recognized University shall be preferred.
Candidates should have minimum 15 years teaching experience in a recognized Ayurveda College after acquiring Post Graduate degree in Ayurveda Sciences in any one subject of Ayurveda.

Bachelor Degree in Ayurveda from a recognized University or Council of Indian System of Medicine established by law or from an Ayurvedic, College recognized by the Government. Post Graduate Degree in particular branch of specialty from any recognized University. Should have studied Sanskrit as one of the subjects in the course of Bachelor Degree in Ayurveda. Teaching experience of 15 years after doing post-graduation out of which 6 years as Reader in the concerned subject.

Upper Age Limit: 45 years as on 01-January-2018. However, relaxation in upper age limit applicable as per Himachal Pradesh Government norms.
Examination Fee:
For General Category candidates of Himachal Pradesh, and other States Candidates of All Category: Rs. 400/-
For SC/ ST/ OBC candidates of Himachal Pradesh: Rs. 100/-
Ex-Servicemen/ Blind/ Visually Impaired candidates of Himachal Pradesh are exempted from payment of application fee. Candidates can make the payment online by debit / credit card or internet banking through “e-Payment Gateway”.
Selection Process: Candidates will have to appear for Screening Test. On the basis of Screening Test the Commission will be notified the list of selected candidates for Main Examination. The candidate who qualifies main examination will be called for viva-voce individually. Final selection of candidates will be concluded on the basis of written performance in the main examination and viva-voce.

The Candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfill all eligibility conditions for admission to examination.
Admit Card: candidates shall be issued an e-Admit Card three weeks before the commencement of the examination against their USER-ID. The candidate are suggested to download e-Admit Card from their USER-ID for admission/ appear in Examination. No Admit Card will be sent by post.
