HPPSC Recruitment Advertisement No. 8/2016- Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission invites application from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts of Assistant Professors (College Cadre) Class-I (Gazetted) (on Contract basis) in the Department of Higher Education, Himachal Pradesh.

Candidates will have to appear for screening test (objective-type/ descriptive) of two hours duration. On the basis of screening test, only qualified candidates will be called for viva-voce/ interview of 100 marks. Final selection of a candidate will be made solely on the basis of his/her performance in the viva-voce/ interview.
Qualification: Candidates must possess good academic record with minimum 55% marks (50% for candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ PWD categories) or an equivalent in Master’s Degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from foreign University recognized by the Government of India.
Candidates should have cleared the eligibility test (NET) for Assistant Professor conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited the State Public Service Commission.
Remuneration: Rs. 21,600/- per month
Upper Age Limit: 45 years as on 01-January-2016. However, relaxation in upper age limit applicable as per norms.
Examination Fee:
General Category candidates: Rs. 400/-
OBC/ SC/ ST category candidates of Himachal Pradesh: Rs. 100/-
Ex-Servicemen of Himachal Pradesh who are relieved from Defence Services after completion of normal tenure, Blind, Visually Impaired candidates are exempted from payment of examination fee.
Candidates can make the payment through ‘e-Challan’ at any branch of Punjab National Bank; or ‘e-Payment’ Option.
