Shri Vipin Singh Parmar, Health and Family Welfare Minister, Government of Himachal Pradesh, said that health services would be further strengthened in the state and all the people would be benefited under the universal health protection scheme.
He said that the government would soon fill up 100 Posts of Doctors to cater to the heath needs of the people of rural areas.
He was presiding over a meeting of senior officers of the health department, as on 30-Dec-2017. He said the infrastructural facilities would be strengthened at Chamba, Ner Chowk and Nahan medical colleges besides filling up the vacant posts of the faculty.
Principal Secretary, Health Shri Prabodh Saxena, Director Health Dr. Baldev Thakur, Director, NRHM Shri Pankaj Rai and other senior officers were also present on the occasion.
Shri Parmar earlier visited IGMC, Shimla and held meeting with the Principle and head of the departments. He directed the hospital administration to provide best possible facilities to the patients and maintain proper cleanliness in the hospital premises.

In his first cabinet meeting, Jairam cracked the whip on extensions and re-employment given during the Congress government with immediate effect. The cabinet decided to remove all nominated chairmen and vice-chairmen besides members of various boards and corporations. Also, the cabinet has put the entire recruitment process, which is being carried outside the purview of HP Public Service Commission and Staff Selection Commission, on hold.
