Walk-In Interview
The Forensic Science Laboratory under the Government of NCT of Delhi, is one of the most diversified departments under the government. As the national capital of India, this Lab bears tremendous responsibility for its support to the Home Department. This department has proven its competency in cases such as Arushi-Hemraj Murder, Delhi-Serial Blasts, Parliament Attack, etc. Job with this department is considered to be of the Top-Honor and responsibility.
With the recent announcement, the Forensic Science Laboratory under the Government of NCT of Delhi is inviting competent applicants to appear the walk-in interview for selection of 08 numbers of Sr. Forensic/ Chemical Examiner and 30 numbers of Junior Forensic/ Chemical Examiners. The recruitment will be made through Walk-in interview mode.
Candidates are requested to come prepared with the Certificates and Application Forms to attend the Walk-in at the conference Room of Forensic Science Laboratory.

Sr. Forensic/ Chemical Examiner:
- 03-Jan-2013: Sr. Forensic/ Chemical Examiner (Chemistry): 02 Posts (UR) – Education – The applicant should have a Master’s degree in Chemistry or Toxicology or Forensic Science with Chemistry as one of the subject at B.Sc. level. Must have at least 5 years research/ analytical experience of crime case examination experience in the field of Forensic Chemistry OR, Must be a Retired officers from the post equivalent to Asst. Director or above with experience in the field of Forensic Chemistry. Doctorate Degree is desirable.
- 03-Jan-2013: Sr. Forensic/ Chemical Examiner (HRD/ Quality Control): 01 Post (UR) – Education – The applicant should have a Master’s degree in Chemistry or Physics or Botany or Zoology or Biotechnology or Biochemistry or Anthropology or Molecular Biology or Genetics or Psychology or Toxicology or Forensic Science with Botany or Zoology or Forensic Science as one of the subject at B.Sc. level from a recognized University or equivalent. Must have at least 5 years of experience in HRD/ Quality Control in any Scientific organization OR, Must be a Retired officers from the post equivalent to Asst. Director or above with experience in the field of Forensic Chemistry. Doctorate Degree in HRD/ QC is desirable
- 03-Jan-2013: Sr. Forensic/ Chemical Examiner (Biology): 03 Posts (UR) – Education – The applicant should have a Master’s degree in Zoology or Botany or Anthropology or Human Biology or Biochemistry or Microbiology or Genetics or Biotechnology or Molecular Biology or Forensic Science with zoology or Botany or Forensic Science as one of the subject at B.Sc. from a recognized University. Must have at least 5 years experience in analytical methods/ research therein in the field preferably of Forensic Biology / DNA. OR, Should be Officers retired from the post equivalent to Asst. Director or above with experience preferably in DNA Technology / Bio technology. Doctorate Degree in Biology is desired.
- 03-Jan-2013: Sr. Forensic/ Chemical Examiner (Finger Print): 01 Post (UR) – Education – The applicant should have a Master’s degree in Chemistry Or Physics or Biological Science or Forensic Science with Chemistry or Forensic Science as one of the subject at B.Sc. level from a recognized university or equivalent. Must have at least 5 years experience of analytical methods/ research in the field of finger print. OR, Should be Officers retired from the post equivalent to Asst. Director or above and passed examination conducted by Centre Finger Print Bureau, NCRB. Doctorate Degree in Finger Prints is desirable.
- 03-Jan-2013: Sr. Forensic/ Chemical Examiner (Ballistics): 01 Post (UR) – Education – The applicant should have a Master’s degree in Physics or Mathematics or Forensic Science with Physics or Mathematics as one of the subject at B.Sc. level. Must have minimum 5 years experience of analytical methods/ research in the field preferably Forensic Ballistics. OR, Should be Officers retired from the post equivalent to Asst. Director or above from Ballistics Division / Forensic field. Doctorate Degree in concerned discipline is desired.
Jr. Forensic/ Chemical Examiner:
- 02-Jan-2013: Jr. Forensic/ Chemical Examiner (Biology): 02 Posts (UR-01, OBC-01) – Education – The applicant should have a Master’s degree in Zoology or Botany or Anthropology or Human Biology or Biochemistry or Microbiology or Genetics or Biotechnology or Molecular Biology or Forensic Science with zoology or Botany or Forensic Science as one of the subject at B.Sc. from a recognized University. Must have at least 3 years experience in analytical methods/ research therein in the field preferably of Biology/ DNA Technology/ Bio technology. OR, Should be Officers retired from the post equivalent to Sr. Scientific Officer or above with experience preferably in DNA Technology / Bio technology. Doctorate Degree in Biology is desired.
- 02-Jan-2013: Jr. Forensic/ Chemical Examiner (Chemistry): 14 Posts (UR-11, OBC-01, SC-02) – Education – The applicant should have a Master’s degree in Chemistry or Toxicology or Forensic Science with Chemistry as one of the subject at B.Sc. level. Must have at least 3 years research/ analytical experience in the field of Forensic Chemistry or Toxicology OR, Must be a Retired officers from the post equivalent to Sr. Scientific Officer or above with experience in the field of Forensic Chemistry or Toxicology. Doctorate Degree/ 3 years experience in FSL/CFSL is desirable.
- 02-Jan-2013: Jr. Forensic/ Chemical Examiner (Document/ Computer Forensic): 05 Posts (UR) – Education – The applicant should have a Master’s degree in Physics or Chemistry or Computer Science or Forensic Science with Physics or Chemistry or Forensic Science or Computer Science as one of the Subject at B.Sc. level from a recognized university or equivalent. OR, should have B.E/ B. Tech. in Computer Engineering or MCA/ M. Sc. in Computer Science from a recognized University or equivalent. Must have at least 3 years experience of analytical methods/ research in the field of Documents / computer science. OR, Should be Officers retired from the post equivalent to Sr. Scientific Officer or above with experience of Documents examination and / or computer science. Doctorate Degree is desirable.

- 02-Jan-2013: Jr. Forensic/ Chemical Examiner (Photo): 02 Posts (UR) – Education – The applicant should have a Graduate degree preferably in Science with diploma in photography or M.Sc. in Forensic Science from a recognized University/ Institution or equivalent. Must have 3 years experience in various branches of photography including experience of scientific photography with theoretical and practical knowledge of its techniques OR, Should be Officers retired from the post equivalent to Sr. Scientific Officer or above with experience of Forensic Photography.
Age of the Candidates:
- The candidates applying for these posts must not have attained maximum age of 65 years as on the date of Interview.
Remunerations:
- Sr. Forensic/ Chemical Examiner: Monthly consolidated remuneration of Rs.39960 during the period of contract.
- Jr. Forensic/ Chemical Examiner: Monthly consolidated remuneration of Rs.37800 during the period of contract.
- No other allowances and perks will be allowed for the candidates
Important about the Walk-in:
- The candidates should report the venue of the interview (Reception Counter of FSL, Rohini) between 9.00 AM to 12.00 Noon on the schedule date of interview
- The Interview will start at 10.00 AM sharp

- Selected candidates will be offered contract appointment subject to medical fitness and verification of character and antecedents.
- Selected candidates will have to submit 3 passport size photographs along with duly filled form for character and antecedent verification which will be provided at the reception of FSL.
- The selected candidates will have to execute a contract agreement accepting the Terms and Conditions on a non-judicial stamp paper worth Rs.100 prior to their appointment on contract basis.
