GAIL India Recruitment 2013 For Induction Of Non-Executive Cadre in Gujarat Region

GAIL (India) Limited is the largest state-owned natural gas processing and distribution company headquartered in New Delhi, India. It has various business segments, such as Natural Gas, Liquid Hydrocarbon, LPG Transmission, Petrochemical, City Gas Distribution, Exploration and Production, GAILTEL and Electricity Generation. GAIL has been conferred with the Maharatna status on 1 Feb 2013, by the Government of India. Currently only six other Public Sector Enterprises (PSEs) enjoy this coveted status amongst all central CPSEs.

GAIL today has reached new milestones with its strategic diversification into Petrochemicals, Telecom and Liquid Hydrocarbons besides gas infrastructure. Incorporating the new-found energy into its corporate identity, Gas Authority of India was renamed GAIL (India) Limited on November-2002. GAIL played a key role as gas market developer in India for decades catering to major industrial sectors like power, fertilizers, and city gas distribution. Currently GAIL transmits more than 160 mmscmd of gas through its dedicated pipelines and have more than 70% market share in both gas transmission and marketing.

With the present initiative from GAIL India, a notice has been served for induction of Non-Executive Cadre in Gujarat Region.

The details of the vacancies and the criteria for eligibility to participate in this recruitment are detailed as under:

Nature of Recruitment:

  • Technician, Assistant HR, Assistant Accounts and Fire Operator (Group C Posts in Grade S-3): 32 Posts (ST-04, OBC-12, UR-16)
  • Foreman, Junior Superintendent, Junior Accountant (Group C Posts in Grade S-5): 13 Posts (ST-01, OBC-3, UR-9)

Details of Academic Criteria as Per Trades:

  • Technician in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Boiler Operation: The candidate must have passed Matriculation with ITI/ National Apprentice Certificate in concerned trades. The applicant should have post qualification experience 1 or 2 years as per the nature of post.
  • Operator (Fire): The candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with minimum 06 months Fireman’s Training course. Driving License for heavy vehicle/ Fire Tenders proficiency in operating pump/ other firefighting equipment is required. The applicant should have 2 years post qualification experience.
  • Assistant (S&P): The candidate must have passed Bachelor Degree with minimum 55% marks and minimum typing speed of 40 wpm in English with proficiency of Computers. The applicant should have 1 years post qualification experience.
  • Assistant (HR): The candidate must have passed Bachelor Degree with minimum 55% marks and minimum typing speed of 40 wpm in English with proficiency of Computers. The applicant should have 1 years post qualification experience.
  • Accounts Assistant: The candidate must have passed Bachelor Degree in Commerce (BCom) with minimum 55% marks and minimum typing speed of 40 wpm in English with proficiency of Computers. The applicant should have 1 years post qualification experience.
  • Foreman (Mechanical): The candidate must have passed Diploma in Engineering in Mechanical/ Production/ Production & Industrial/ Manufacturing/ Mechanical & Automobile with minimum 60% marks with 2 years of Post-Qualification experience.
  • Foreman (Electrical): The candidate must have passed Diploma in Engineering in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics with minimum 60% marks with 2 years of Post-Qualification experience.
  • Foreman (Chemical): The candidate must have passed Diploma in Engineering in Chemical / Petrochemical / Chemical Technology / Petrochemical Technology with minimum 60% marks with 2 years of Post-Qualification experience.
  • Foreman (Civil): The candidate must have passed Diploma in Engineering in Civil with minimum 60% marks with 2 years of Post-Qualification experience.
  • Junior Superintendent (HR): The candidate must have passed Bachelor Degree with Diploma in Personnel Management / Industrial Relations with minimum 55% marks in each and should have computer proficiency. Must have minimum 2 years of Post-Qualification Experience
  • Junior Accountant: The candidate must have passed Intermediate or equivalent in CA/ ICWA Or, MCom with minimum 60% marks and should have computer proficiency. Must have minimum 2 years of Post-Qualification Experience

Remuneration:

  • Technician, Assistant HR, Assistant Accounts and Fire Operator (Group C Posts in Grade S-3): Rs.12500 – Rs.33000 in IDA Pattern
  • Foreman, Junior Superintendent, Junior Accountant (Group C Posts in Grade S-5): Rs.14500 – Rs.36000 in IDA Pattern

Age Limit:

  • Technician, Assistant HR, Assistant Accounts and Fire Operator (Group C Posts in Grade S-3): Must not have crossed max age of 30 Years as on the last date of receipt of application
  • Foreman, Junior Superintendent, Junior Accountant (Group C Posts in Grade S-5): Must not have crossed max age of 32 Years as on the last date of receipt of application
  • However, there will be relaxation in upper age limit for SC, ST, PWD candidates as per rules

  • All candidates other than SC/ST/PWD will have to remit a fee of Rs.50 through Demand Draft/ Pay Order in favor of “GAIL (India) Limited” payable at t State Bank of India, Vaghodia, District: Vadodara, (Branch Code: 9927) as application fee.
  • SC, ST, and PWD candidates are exempted from paying any fees.
